Like the main parts are GANGSTAAA because of the powers & like them being who they are, etc. It’s that weird s$xual aspect of it like when he says, “You’ve been such a good girl, you deserve a reward” it’s like puke. 🤮 And then the poor narrators having to act it out and it sounds lame because it doesn’t belong in this type of book. Could only get like half way in. It was too much. I’m a 40yr old woman and it was gross.

It has been a VERY long time, since I’ve enjoyed a series so much. I was enraptured from the start. I could easily get over the British talking/voices and the horrible way he tried mocking a Southern, American accent. lol
The story was just THAT good. It was spooky, scary, tremendously written. There aren’t enough words to express how amazing this book was. I laughed out loud so many times at Sarah. I teared up at some soppy sections. I definitely could not stop listening. I believe I got through the entire series in less than 2 weeks because I was listening at work, at home, in the car, in the shower, before bed. I mean I literally couldn’t stop! It’s like the evil Harry Potter. Fantastic story telling. Thank you to the Author for being EPIC!!!!

FREAKING EPIC!!!

The only CON: They have a man narrating women’s voices. The two main characters, sisters, are narrated by a man.
It’s not sooooo bad though, because the book is AMAZING and CREEPY! I used to watch Freddy movies, alone, when I was 4. I’m not easily scared … Listening to this book, alone, in the dark, I was scared! lol. The book is PHENOMENAL!!!!! I wish they would have had a woman doing the narration but I can get over that. It’s a MUST listen. I just went and purchased the other EIGHT books in the series because I know this man’s brain is diabolical.

Her Voice Is SO Annoying!

This book is GOOD! I read it years ago and was stuck on it. I can’t take more than one chapter of this because her voice is so nasally annoying! Like I want to stick Q-tips in my ears to block the sound, BAD.

Almost Did Not Read It

I almost did not read it because so many reviews were bad. I’m so confused by those reviews. Those people couldn’t possibly have loved the books in the same way I did because I was INSTANTLY happy being back in that world!
The “political” part of the book that everyone kept going on about, was literally like 30 seconds of the dang book! I was shocked to see THAT is what they kept going on about. LOL. Like calm down and take a page out of Aphrodite’s book. Open a bottle and CHILL dude! The nerd herd was JUST what I needed. On to book two!

I’ll go with cons first because there is only ONE. The $3x scenes go on and on and on and on and on. I have to skip through them because the further you get into the series, the longer and more detailed they get. It’s almost like watching corn on the tv because it gets so Xrated sometimes. It was very excessive but if you just skip through all that, I promise you’ll love this series. It gets better and better and better. You really start to fall in love with every character for their own reasons. You also never guess what will happen because everything is so unexpected. The narrator couple are FANTASTIC. Their voices are so good that each character has his/her own cadence and flow. When they announce each chapter, I always know which character it’s going to be before they say the name because that’s how good they are at making different voices. Which is AMAZING considering how many different characters there are. Geryldenes voice drives me INSANE but I guess that’s how she’s supposed to be. lol I am an almost 40yr old woman and even though this is for like college aged kids, I love it.

Thank you, Audible! Thank you, for choosing the same narrator throughout the entire series. That couple are AMAZING at this. They are so good in fact, that I knew exactly what character was about to be speaking when they say, “Chapter” whatever. The voices they portray each have its own cadence and flow. I am FULLY shook at how great of a performance they put on. The fact that the story is AMAZING sure does help! The only con to this entire series is the fact that the $3x scenes tend to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on. So long that I have to skip through because it gets sorta Xrated and I’m an almost 40yr old woman. It’s just a LOT. If it weren’t for how FANTASTIC the rest of the story is, I wouldn’t be able to listen. I just skip through that and it’s that PRESSURE.

Amazing!

The narrator was amazing on this one. This series is amazing all by itself but when a great voice and acting skills are added, just WOW!

YOU HAVE TO HEAR THIS!!!!!!

I have 30 minutes left in this book and I am currently CRYING MY EYES OUT. I never would have thought that a Shadow Hunters novel would bring me to tears. The emotion in the readers voice and the story put together….. FREAKING AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! What an amazing ending to this beautiful series. I am not sure I’ve ever cried while listening to an Audible book but this did me in. The characters become like your family. It’s the people you can’t help but to love and want to succeed. Thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful series.
