I don’t even know what to say after I just finished listening to this book, but if you are the kind of person who enjoys mysteries, intrigue and plot twists galore, I cannot recommend this book enough!

A different kind of investigator!

Very interesting story and great follow up to the first one. I was so grateful that the author made repeated references reminding me of what had transpired in the first novel because it had been quite a while since I had listened to it. It’s very interesting to learn about a Linguist in the FBI world. Although I have to admit, even as a nurse, I struggle to understand how it really works, but the investigation is very intriguing and I was surprised at the outcome! Highly recommend.

Very good book that grabs you from the start. So many questions as to the whereabouts of this new husband. Plot twists for sure. Highly recommend.

The series keeps getting better!

I literally had to go into my Audible account and purchase a larger group of credits because I cannot stop listening to these novels! I absolutely love how the reader is immersed in the legal cases and learning how the lawyers operate and how Nate figures things out eventually. I love his sense of humor and the development of the characters since book one. I personally have zero interest in football and cannot stand the thought of hunting, and both of these topics played a big part in this book and the fact that I was still just as fascinated as I was in the first 3 books proves the talent of this author! The narrator is equally perfect. Cannot recommend this series enough! I sure hope Michael Stagg has no plans to end this series anytime soon.

Loving this series!

This is the second one and I am going to start the third one as soon as I finish this review. My normal genre is more of a mystery /thriller, but I am fascinated by these stories. I love the legal aspect and I’m always so interested to find out if the client will be found guilty or innocent. This was a particularly intriguing storyline when there was no clear murder weapon, and it kept me guessing all the way through. The narrator is excellent and I am looking forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Interesting with Twists

I purchased this when it was deal of the day and I’m so glad I did because it was definitely worth the low cost! Very easy to follow and difficult to stop listening. Amazing what some people will do to cover up secrets. I’m not completely happy with a certain lack of justice but overall the book was well written and I recommend it. Narration was excellent also.

Awesome Series

I have listened all of these except the last one in a very short period of time because I can’t stop! This one may be my favorite. I love how the books carry on with some of the drama with the main character characters from one book to the next. It can be hard to read murder descriptions, but so intriguing as to how things will work out in the name of justice. The narrator is absolutely perfect for these books. I love how she changes her voice just enough to clearly distinguish each character! Highly recommend. Now I’m getting ready to start the last one and I will be so sad. I hope Robin James continues with this series.

I love this series!

Before I even finished the first book in this series, I literally bought all seven books through Audible while they were having a sale. The storylines are so gripping and I find it so hard to stop listening. I love the characters. The death scene descriptions are hard to read and I keep reminding myself this is fiction. The legal aspects and the investigative process areall so fascinating . Highly recommend. The narration is spot on as well!

So good!

It has been so long since I listened to the earlier novels with the main character Lily, and I actually remembered very little of those storylines, but it’s not necessary to completely enjoy this novel! So intriguing and so fascinating. I really wonder if there really are people in this world, like Lily. And that’s kind of a scary thought but you still can’t help but like her! Highly recommend and the narration was perfect also. I hope this author continues to write more stories with Lily.

So Intriguing!

Although it took me just a little while to get totally involved in this story, once I was past this point, I was so hooked! I love the twists and turns in this book and you’re never quite sure what the real truth is as to what happened in the past with the death of the beloved nanny. The interaction and the way the main characters end up being intertwined is just simply fascinating. The narration was excellent. Highly recommend.
