Historia
Looking at real estate isn’t usually a life-or-death situation, but an apartment open house becomes just that when a failed bank robber bursts in and takes a group of strangers hostage. The captives include a recently retired couple who relentlessly hunt down fixer-uppers to avoid the painful truth that they can’t fix their own marriage. There’s a wealthy bank director who has been too busy to care about anyone else and a young couple who are about to have their first child but can’t seem to agree on anything.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

I wish Audible had the Stephen Fry version instead. Even the poor version of Fry's I downloaded from the internet is better than Jim Dale.

OK
Revisado: 11-02-15
Not my favorite book. I never got drawn into it. Many times I felt like it was written for length and many aspects of the book did not contribute to the main story. Many of the small stories of Bella's life came across as filler.

This was a wonderful historical fiction book. I love reading about the past and being transported into by gone days. This book was truly an escape into the past into a different world. It serves as a reminder that so much has changed and so much has stayed the same.

Historia
The Amazing Arden is the most famous female illusionist of her day, renowned for her notorious trick of sawing a man in half on stage. One night in Waterloo, Iowa, with young policeman Virgil Holt watching from the audience, she swaps her trademark saw for a fire ax. Is it a new version of the illusion, or an all-too-real murder? When Arden's husband is found lifeless beneath the stage later that night, the answer seems clear.

never gets going
Revisado: 09-08-15
What was most disappointing about Greer Macallister’s story?
The story was slow and it didn't ever get moving. The ending was vague as well. I don't feel like it was ever wrapped up. When it ended, I thought that is it? I felt it was a waste of time.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I hated the change in voices. A male did all the "present day" narration so his female voice was awful. The flash back was done by a female and her male voices were also bad.

Historia
With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

This is such a beautiful story of a horrible time in history. I found myself thinking about this story late into the night. It can be so haunting. I think about how I would have reacted in the same circumstances. It is a wonderful look at the strength of women in wartime.
It was just AMAZING story!! I have no other words to describe it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book to any one who loves the Princess Bride. If you have not seen the movie, I don't think you would get any joy out of this book. But I would encourage you to watch the movie, read this book and watch the movie again.
