Historia
Soaring ambition. Unwavering integrity. Billie Joe Armstrong isn’t the first punk to negotiate mainstream success, but he might be its most undisguised example. In Welcome to my Panic, Green Day’s iconic front man holds nothing back as he tracks listeners though his deeply personal and artistic journey in raw detail. Matching his emotional storytelling with new, exclusive, recordings of Green Day’s biggest hits, Armstrong chronicles the seminal moments in his life: the trauma and triumphs that have come to define him.

Love Green Day
Revisado: 05-14-21
Green Day was happening when my kids were just getting to be young teenagers. Through their words, I understood them better. Good Riddance was played at my daughter’s graduation. That song brought tears flowing. Billie Joe’s lyrics were always right on for what my son was going through. Thanks for the audible book Billy Joe.

I Can’t Make This Up
Revisado: 11-23-20
This book is a great listen. I have only seen Kevin Hart in 2 movies. Watched him on an English talk show where he talked about this book. No I know his life story, so far. This book is all about life and all of its ups and downs and how to get through. Kevin uses humor and all the lessons he has learned to help people. Thank you Kevin Hart for your desire to help others. Listening to this book is the better option than reading it. Kevin is funny, smart, honest and passionate.

You will never listen to a book about Elton John that will leave you in tears. And you will take awhile to find something to hold your attention the way this book does. I have always loved Elton’s music, but didn’t know alot about his personal life. The way this book is read takes you on a walk wearing rose tinted glasses, 4”platforms and huge smile on your face. Elton, I hope the Covid 19 pandemic has given you lots of great times with your boys. Thank you for telling us every gritty detail about your incredible life. Thank you.

Historia
It is New Year's Eve, nearly six weeks into an off-and-on blizzard that has locked Alaska down, effectively cutting it off from the outside world. But now there are reports of a plane down in the Quilak mountains. With the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board - responsible for investigating aviation incidents) unable to reach the crash site, ex-trooper Jim Chopin is pulled out of retirement to try to identify the aircraft, collect the corpses, and determine why no flight has been reported missing. But Jim discovers survivors: two children who don't speak a word of English.

Another great Kate Shugak story
Revisado: 02-18-20
Dana Stabenow has a gift for writing us into her Alaskan world. This story had a lot about what is going on in the world right now. Once again Kate finds herself in a place she really doesn’t want to be in. But because she and Jim are tossed in at the deep end, Kate solves the case. I love being in Kate Shugak’s Alaska and world.

This book should be required listening for narrators
Revisado: 12-08-19
Lorelei King and Ali Muirden have put together a fun and instructional book. This book covers subjects from deciding to be an audio book reader to developing character voices, to how to keep your voice in shape. How to mark up the script to highlight an emotion behind a sentence. What not to eat or drink. If I were thinking of becoming an audio book reader or voice over actor, this book would be required listening.

The Little Book of the Hidden People: Twenty Stories of Elves from Icelandic Folklore

Historia
In this book, author Alda Sigmundsdóttir presents 20 translated elf stories from Icelandic folklore, along with fascinating notes on the context from which they sprung. The international media has had a particular infatuation with the Icelanders’ elf belief, generally using it to propagate some kind of “kooky Icelanders” myth. Yet Iceland’s elf folklore, at its core, reflects the plight of a nation living in abject poverty on the edge of the inhabitable world, and its people’s heroic efforts to survive, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Love this book
Revisado: 07-22-19
Iceland is a gorgeous place like nowhere else on earth. I enjoyed hearing all of these stories. When I lived there in a very rural area it was easy to believe in elves. Especially if you are miles from other people and things are always getting moved around the house or yard. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

Historia
There's nothing like a good deli, and the Red River Deli in Trenton is one of the best. World-famous for its pastrami, cole slaw, and for its disappearing managers. Over the last month, three have vanished from the face of the earth, and the only clue in each case is one shoe that's been left behind. The police are baffled. Lula is convinced that it's a case of alien abduction. Whatever it is, they'd better figure out what's going on before they lose their new manager, Ms. Stephanie Plum.

Stephanie is back and true to form.
Revisado: 11-27-18
Stephanie is back in action. Someone is kidnapping men. There is plenty of Ranger and Morelli. There are some great laugh out loud moments. Lula is pure Lula. There is even a scary cliffhanger involving one of Stephanie 's relatives. This is the 25th in the Plum Bounty Hunter series. Janet Evanovich has lost none of her great dialogue writing and sense of humor.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Proper scary book
Revisado: 08-06-18
The Outsider took me back to Stephen King's earlier, creepier books. Set in a very small town. A young boy is murdered in an especially disturbing way. He uses the tactics he used to, and that is making you want to sleep with the lights on. This story has a lot of heart as well. He draws us in close to the main characters of the book. We get to know them. As usual he creates a whole small town with a modest population. He always likes to have a lot of prime characters in his books. This book also holds a nice surprise that involves bringing in a much loved character from another series.
If you love Stephen King, especially his scary books, you will not be sorry you picked this one up to read with the lights on.

Historia
Thirty-one years ago in Anchorage, Alaska, Victoria Pilz Bannister Muravieff was convicted of murdering her seventeen-year-old son William. The jury returned a quick verdict of guilty, believing the prosecutor's claims that she had set fire to her own home with both her sons inside; William died and the other, Oliver, narrowly escaped. Victoria was sentenced to life in prison without parole, and though she pled not guilty at the trial, she never again denied her guilt.
