I really enjoyed this book
Revisado: 11-19-22
I loved listening to this book especially since he self narrated. It was bittersweet though, near the end he says it’s only until we meet again, because he had intended to write up another book someday and share more stories. Unfortunately I don’t believe that is going to happen now.

Love this series
Revisado: 11-19-22
I really think this series is well thought out. I also think even if the first wasn’t your favorite, this one may be worth having a listen. I think it developed the story a lot farther.

Historia
I’m not a fan of Christmas. I’m happy to stay up in my mountain cabin and let the silly season pass me by. But when a friend asks for a favor, I can’t say no. Now I’m stuck in my cabin during a snowstorm, trapped with the most beautiful man I’ve ever met - who can’t wait to get away. He just might break my heart when he goes.

Well written and narrated!
Revisado: 11-19-22
This isn’t my normal thing. I’m more into military sci-fi and fantasy. But I’m also lgbt. And this story was so touching. It does get pretty hot and heavy, and explicit starting around the middle. As long as that is ok with you, I think this is a wonderful story. The narrator did a great job voicing the characters!

Historia
March 15th, Earth Year 2290. The day the aliens returned. The memories are still fresh. Of colonies burning. Of millions dying in agony. Fifty years later, we’ve built up our strength. Using a wormhole, we colonized both sides of the galaxy. It was the worst mistake we could have made. Our enemy has returned and the wormhole has collapsed. Commander Thatcher finds himself on the wrong side of the divide. Separated from his pregnant wife by countless light years. He’s just been given command of a light armored cruiser. His first command.

Interesting story!
Revisado: 09-18-19
Like most military sci-fi books it has a familiar feel. At first it can seem almost sterile. However you do get drawn in, and become close to the characters. You start to care about them, and their survival. The story is an interesting one, and it does pull you in. The performer in this case is top notch, Mark Boyett is always top notch. I really do hope that this story continue on. I want to find out what happens next!

Historia
When humanity reaches for the stars, our probes are destroyed. They crash into an incredibly advanced piece of technology: a massive force-field. Unknown beings have placed a barrier around our star and planets, enclosing us within. We’re locked inside a Great Sphere. Was this invisible obstacle built to imprison us - or to protect us? No one knows the truth, but it soon becomes clear the barrier has leaks. Aliens infiltrate and try to sabotage our efforts to escape our cage.

I really enjoyed it. I want more!
Revisado: 09-02-19
I know this isn’t the typical book that we’ve come to expect from BV Larson. It was a pretty good story though, maybe it’s just because I’m a captive audience. My career as a truck driver means I am always looking for more content. The main character in this book was a bit more “matter of fact” protocol driven than we were used to. There were a few gaps and in my opinion failed linkages in the story. I just feel like if the series were to continue farther we would fill a lot of those gaps. I don’t think it exactly compares to a lot of the other work out there that we’ve become used to with Larson, But we also have another author James Millington and his style might be different. But I still think it’s worth listening to. I feel really bad that a lot of the reviews have been negative
