Riveting, largely due to the outstanding narration! The best in the series, keeps you guessing. But Matt Evelyn is the secret sauce that brings this to life!

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Raw, intriguing, surprisingly human
Revisado: 12-17-21
This was a surprisingly delightful book that clipped along at a good pace (until the end) and was superbly performed.
The secret sauce here is that it's a story that follows a deeply profound character arc where an earnest and flawed young man evolves through tribulations and mistakes from a place of selfishness and naivety to a place of selflessness and gains a profound insight about love for somebody other than himself, and that changes him in ways that are poignant and powerful! I was entertained as I began listening and by the later sections I was downright moved by catharsis I didn't expect.
The only sort of rough spot for me was the shift at the end became very philosophical and even preachy seeming---but I eventually realized that these portions were useful to show just how much the author has grown in his view of life, love, others, and so I think it was still appropriate to include, even though I'm less interested in, say, the religious thinking, it was nonetheless a truer story straight from the heart by including it in just as it is.
This was the most refreshingly human, catharsis inducing, poignant, and earnestly-meaningful autobiographies/memoirs I have heard on here, and probably ever. Highly recommended. 👍

Historia
According to the establishment media, the intelligentsia, and our political chattering class, the greatest threat to American freedom lies in right-wing authoritarianism. We’ve heard that some 75 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump represent the rise of American fascism; that conservatives have allowed authoritarianism to bloom in their midst, creating a grave danger for the republic.

Insightful Even To Liberals
Revisado: 12-15-21
I'm a classic liberal, not a leftist but an old school liberal. I don't agree with Shapiro about many things but I found his points and arguments worthy of listening to and thinking about. And I do see a kind of new red scare with wokeism, so I definitely think Shapiro is onto something by labeling it a form of social authoritarianism.
It's a quick listen, light commitment, pacing was a little better than average, although Shapiro's celebrity impressions are comically painful at times.

Extremely interesting and well-written, and well-performed. Very insightful, and surprisingly human/heartfelt. Exceeded my expectations. And now I'm just adding words because "a review requires fifteen words" for whatever idiotic reason.
