Historia
Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Little sister, troubled teen, backpacker, musical theatre coach, con artist, childcare worker. Murderer. A tragic, traumatic childhood casts a long shadow on the Hoedemaker sisters. Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Did not see that ending coming. It was a chilling & roller coaster story. I enjoyed it. Wonder how many people function like this in real life??

Kept you on your toes from start to finish. Will make you think twice about one-night stands if you’re into that sort of thing. Good narrator also.

Beautifully written & overall breath taking
Revisado: 01-04-24
Even though it’s technically a novel, it gives me hope that I as well as others can crawl out of the fog of life’s unfortunate circumstances & emerge wiser and stronger. It’s beautiful.

Life Changing
Revisado: 12-30-23
Life Changing. I’ve felt so alone & confused about all the feelings and emotions thats surfaced since losing my mom. Reading this makes me believe there is hope and the things I feel are somewhat universal. I’m very grateful the author took the plunge and had the bravery to write this and start the conversation that so many of us never have until the reality slaps us in the face and it’s sink or swim time.

Historia
In the United States, teenagers can focus on one task for only sixty-five seconds at a time, and office workers average only three minutes. Like so many of us, Johann Hari was finding that constantly switching from device to device and tab to tab was a diminishing and depressing way to live. He tried all sorts of self-help solutions—even abandoning his phone for three months—but nothing seemed to work. So Hari went on an epic journey across the world to interview the leading experts on human attention—and he discovered that everything we think we know about this crisis is wrong.

Fact based, insightful, eye opening
Revisado: 11-30-22
This book states many facts & provides the data to research yourself if you do not believe or wish to dive deeper. It offers a wholistic approach which I found refreshing & helpful. It helps you to see that there are many variables as to why we are in the current state that we are in. I have already recommended this book to many people & believe it is a must read!

What if I told you that there are two lost chapters to the famous Think and Grow Rich? And what if I told you that those two lost chapters reveal the missing secret to getting anything and everything you’ve ever wanted...and much, much more? There is a reason this information was hidden from the mass public. It is because it was too powerful for the common man and woman to know. Times have changed. Not only are people ready to see this missing secret but they are much better equipped to use this power to change the trajectory of their lives.

Amazing story about an amazing woman
Revisado: 02-27-21
This is a book detailing the life of a poor child growing up in a terrible cult that constantly surrounded her with physical, mental & emotional abuse. I am a cult survivor myself although none this severe! The journey she has taken to heal her heart and I turn try to help others is quite remarkable. An amazing story about an amazing woman. This needs to be on everyone’s to-read-list! Be ready to be in shock, in-awe & inspired!
