As an aspiring inventor myself, and as an American who has benefited from these inventors and entreprenuers, I consider this book an essential work of history. I'm actually embarrassed more of us don't know these people well, who have built with their hearts, minds, and hands things and endeavors that have shaped our country...and our freedom, scientific progress, national security, and world-wide economic advancements...not only in America but around the globe in other countries. From microwaves and cloths dryers to NASA advancements and military inventions, these characters in this book need to be known. Often they are humble, hard-working people who encounter endless obstacles, and deserve more fame and acknowledgement than any Hollywood actor or trendy persona of the week that grabs the daily headlines. WHAT AN INSPIRING AUDIBLE!!!
