Historia
Classically trained pianist and singer Natalie Curtis isolated herself for five years after a breakdown just before she was to debut with the New York Philharmonic. Guilt-ridden and songless, Natalie can't seem to recapture the joy music once brought her. In 1902, her brother invites her to join him in the West to search for healing. What she finds are songs she'd never before encountered - the haunting melodies, rhythms, and stories of Native Americans.

I like the storyline but the girl Natalie is so introspective it just bugged me. The narrator was not good at all so I didn’t enjoy the book and did not finish it.

Awful narration!
Revisado: 08-01-24
Too many unnecessary details - fairytale escapes in a supposedly realistic tale. Bogged down into the gritty details.

I do not pretend to have given an exhaustive picture of the Polish Underground, its organisation and its activities. Because of our methods, I believe that there is no one today who could give an all-embracing recital...This book is a purely personal story, my story. Jan Karski's Second World War memoir is a heroic act of witness: the courageous testimony of a man who risked everything for his country. First published in 1944, the book became an instant bestseller in the US while the war still raged in Europe.

Mere Christianity is C.S. Lewis' forceful and accessible doctrine of Christian belief. Historia
Between his work on the 2014 Audible Audiobook of the Year, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark: A Novel, and his performance of Classic Love Poems, narrator Richard Armitage ( The Hobbit, Hannibal) has quickly become a listener favorite. Now, in this defining performance of Charles Dickens' classic David Copperfield, Armitage lends his unique voice and interpretation, truly inhabiting each character and bringing real energy to the life of one of Dickens' most famous characters.

Compelling read....
Revisado: 03-29-16
Would you listen to David Copperfield [Audible] again? Why?
I would listen again to David Copperfield because Richard Armitage brings the story to life. I am sad it is finished and was loathe to leave it be when I had to.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Charles Dickens made every character memorable so it is hard to distinguish which would be a favorite. They all make their place in the weaving of the narrative.
What does Richard Armitage bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The expressions of each person were so captivating and the story is so detailed I would have in vain tried to read it. The various tones and personalities were made to be so vivid by his narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
There is no way I could have listened to this in one sitting.
Any additional comments?
Are there anymore narrations by Armitage?
