Mike Merlino is a wonderful guy just constantly trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately, this gets him into trouble because nothing is ever easy for him.

She is a complex character who pushes through the endless betrayals and heart break. She is determined. I love the crossovers with the sister series!

If it weren't for bad luck...

Mike Merlino is a wonderful guardian, but he just can't catch a break! In this 3rd book his one mission turns into a web of plot twits that make this an action packed book. He can't help but always think of the greater good even at risk to himself. I enjoyed getting some more character development and learned more about some of the other characters. A tie in with its sister series helped put thing into a better timeline. can't wait for book 4!!

Book 2 doesn’t disappoint!!! Omg!! Action packed from start to finish.
I enjoyed every minute!!
I liked meeting new characters d seeing character growth.
JP Rice did an amazing job at tying in books 1&2. Adding new plots and characters and leaving one doozy of a cliffhanger!!
The world is so rich in mythical creatures and diverse gods. I enjoyed the tie into asian myths as well. I like that Mike and Felix work
Together still. Intrigued as well by this. Since book one made me feel that Felix will work with the highest bidder.
When is book 3???? I need more!!

Dragons, Demons, & Fea Oh MY!!

This book is set in the same world as The Scarlet Dragon Series. It focuses on Mike Merlino. One of my favorite things after having read that series is seeing some of the other sides of the story. it is awesome getting more than one point of view of the world.
Mike is such a great male hero, he is not perfect and he tries to recognize his flaws while working on his strengths. The secondary characters Eleina & Bern (excuse the spelling as I listened) are very nicely incorporated into the narrative.
I liked the fact that it was quite high action and hard tot put down because I felt I would miss something.
I am quite excited for book 2!!

In book 2 we see more of Mo & June’s sisterhood. They are one badass team!
We meet some new characters which allow us more insight into the diverse nature of June’s world. I love the mix of Greek, Norse, and other Gods. I love the mix in mythos. Zeus, Loki, Thor, Hades all in one place!!
Great follow up to book 1!!

June is my kinda woman! She is tough a s nails and won’t back down from anything!!
The lead in this book is a fiesty woman wotj a good heart and best of intentions.
I love the mix of mythologies!! i always thougt it would be cool to have a biok that’s poly-mythical (yes I just invented a new word). I liked the book a lot and needed a description that wasn’t there!
I like that the back story for each character is slowly being developed and not all given at once.
I enjoy getting to know my fictional friends much tje same as I do real people. Slowly.
It’s a great read/listen and the narrator does a wonderful job in making the characters
