Cliffhanger….

Am I the only one tired of one book being split to make two books? Love the narrators but just over books being split so audio can end in a cliffhanger in hopes I’ll buy the second book. Not buying the second one but that’s just me.

Cliffhanger & Not even his voice kept me interested

Now I’ve read & listened to books with sex. James, Blakely, Bowen, & Shade to mention a few authors. So sex scenes don’t bother me, might pick up some new moves. 🙌 But they all have plots that the sex enhances or at least doesn’t deter from. I don’t know what about the book doesn’t flow to me. Too much sex not enough background? The way it opens made me feel like I missed a book somewhere. That is my opinion though. I even started skipping sex scenes to try to get to the “plot” in hopes it would salvage the book. Nope not for me. It does end in a cliff hanger but I wasn’t engaged enough to care. Which is highly unusual for me. But again my opinion.

Breath of fresh air

I found a new author that has adults adulting. Both characters have emotional issues but guess what they deal with them. They even tackle them without loads of drama or acting like children. It was a breath of fresh air. 4 stars on performance only because the female narrator took me a couple of chapters to accept her voice. But that is on me and it may not bother anyone else. The story is great, the performance was fine, overall worth a credit to me! I will look for more books from this author.

Arghh...not for me

The female is a single mom of a 7-year-old & in a master's program at an elite university yet acts like a child. She wants him, but she can't but then she does. Yet she pushes him away repeatedly and reels him back in again. After such an incident she has the nerve to get mad when she sees him out on a date, really!? The best one ducking around corners to avoid him, he is her advisor for pete's sake. My other huge peeve is she didn't tell him she was a mom. I understand to some degree as I was a single mom. But I kept thinking are you ever going to tell him!! I listened in hopes the author would go crazy with a plot twist and let Zach end up with someone else. Just this once I wanted that so badly. If you like this type of storyline then you'll love this.

Totally Unexpected

I really enjoyed this story of an “arranged” marriage. But the story doesn’t focus much on how they came to be but what challenges they faced to get to where they end up. I am surprised that I enjoyed it because I was really expecting a rom com style story. It was totally not that but well worth my time. Give it a try.

I had to turn it off so I could quit cry laughing!

I'm not sure I would recommend driving while listening to this book. I was laughing so hard tears were clouding up my vision. I had to turn the book off so I could regain control of myself. I had to do that 3, yes 3 times during the book. You know it is coming but the way it is written you'll still laugh your a** off. The banana scene is just one example. It was just what I needed to get me out of my funk I was in at that time. Loved it!!!

Interesting worth it!

I like that there are so many different authors. This gave me a taste of their writing and I have some new authors to read. Like the story and narration for me was good.
