Slip Runner drew me straight into the story and kept me entertained. I hadn’t listen to this narrator before, but he turned out to be excellent. Give this book a try and you won’t regret it. I’m looking forward to more!

Awesomely authentic military sci-fi

Against All Odds by Jeffery T. Haskell stands tall. Definitely the best mil sci-fi I’ve read this year. Haven’t seen anything this good since Edge of Valor (Josh Hayes) or Legionnaire (Anspach - Cole). If Haskell keeps writing like this, he will be a major player in the genre. Peter Berkrot smashed the audiobook narration. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance.

Lights Over Cloud Lake is an amazingly good thriller centering on possible alien abductions. The character development and plot twists were thoroughly satisfying. I listened to it as an audiobook, and loved the narrator. Very easy to listen to.

Iron Wolves, by Jonathan Yanez, is packed from beginning to end with action. The primary character faces his flaws but turns them into strengths, always fights for the underdog. It’s a good fast read for anyone one who enjoys the genre.

I’m a huge fan of military science fiction. Edge of Valor stands higher than most books I’ve read or listened to in the genre. If Tom Clancy wrote science fiction, it would be something like this.

I listen to a ton of audiobooks, most of them in this genre. The story locked me in early and I felt like I was there with the Legion. I've always been a fan of Ray Porter's narration, but this one is truly exceptional. I hope to listen to a lot more books from Josh Hayes, Jason Ansbach, and Nick Cole. Great book. Highly recommended.
