Historia
Joe Gibbs has dedicated his life to helping the “average Joe” apply Biblical principles to everyday situations, using the Bible as a game plan. But in 2019, when his son, J.D., lost his battle with a degenerative brain disease at the age of 49, Joe realized that while he did have a game plan for life, he did not have a game plan for dealing with loss. Written with the non-Christian in mind, Game Plan for Loss presents Coach Gibbs’ answers to these questions in plain, everyday language, proving once again that the Bible is in fact the ultimate game plan.

Although coach is not a theologian of any sorts, as he had no problem admitting a few times in the book, I believe this is very sound theology on the commonly asked questions of; Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do Christians suffer? and Is my life just one that is up to chance?
Dad’s story was laid out beautifully and it was incredibly moving to hear my grandpa talk about his son the way he did.
If you have any questions that are similar to the ones above or if you have experienced the loss of a loved one which left you wondering, this book is for you. The life changing lessons drawn straight from Scripture that my grandpa found have been a great help to me in understanding how God works in the conversations that we have had and those lessons are written in this book!
Love you Coachie, even though there’s probably no way you will ever figure out how to get to this page!😂

Historia
In NASCAR, as in life, the difference between winning and losing often comes down to being in the right place at the right time and making the most of every opportunity. Nobody understands that better than Dave Alpern. Dave started his career as an unpaid intern selling T-shirts for the newly formed Joe Gibbs Racing team. Nearly three decades later, he’s now the president of JGR, a multimillion-dollar elite, record-setting racing team with more than 500 employees. In Taking the Lead, Dave shares the wisdom he’s learned along the way.

As JD’s second son and a lifelong friend of Mr. Dave’s, many of the hilarious stories and upstanding life principles shared in Taking the Lead I had heard. But whether I had heard them already or not, the effect of the leadership and Christlike values that Mr. Dave and my dad had on my life is something I am eternally grateful for.
This book is incredibly well written and packed with practical leadership tips, Biblical morals and interesting stories on the wild ride of Dave’s journey from working in a broom closet to presidency.
Thank you Mr. Dave for honoring my dad with 100% of the proceeds going to the JD Gibbs Legacy Fund. And thank you for reminding us all of the man of God that he was.
