Historia
Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking, What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air? Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations? What will people think if I fail or give up? When can I stop proving myself?

Great content, better if read by Brene Brown.
Revisado: 11-27-18
It’s not the reader’s fault. Brene Brown is a hell of an act to follow. Reader read at a good pace and with perfect diction but sounded prissy to me.

Traitor to Women Survivors. Insisted Kavanaugh maybe didn’t do it..
Revisado: 10-26-18
Regret buying this from a woman author weak on women enough to betray women survivors’ value, by standing up for Kavanaugh’s supposed possible innocence. Couldn’t recognize privileged, politically extremist smug “how dare you” pompous man grieving his past actions returned to appropriately take him down. Morning Mika is Good Riddance Mika.

My breakdowns on this very important book...
Revisado: 04-15-18
I very much enjoyed and appreciated Ms. Brazile‘s allowing us behind the scenes in the presidential election process. I was touched by her deeply personal candor. She is real, warm, colorful, personable, professional, smart, likeable, experienced, common sensical, and moral.
Ms. Brazile said, “I found the cancer, but I’m not willing to kill the patient.” I am grateful to Ms. Brazile for being the only party member with the intelligence and integrity to call the DNC’s and HRC’s cheating by way of controlling the party’s money while HRC was in the race to be decided supposedly by the American people, a “cancer”. Cancer was an apropos word, because cancer kills.
Ms. Brazile’s use of the word “cancer” revealed her own integrity and character. She erred in the second part of her analogy. HRC was not the patient, a victim of the cancer. HRC was the perpetrator. Both HRC and DWS calculatedly and ongoingly acted as cancer.
I regret that Ms. Brazile acted as Judge and Jury in determining that their actions were not a crime against democracy, the free and fair election of a President of the United States. Since no Judge had the courage to stand up to an entity so gargantuan and powerful, in an area so threatening as the rigging of a Presidential election, I will counter Ms. Brazile here: I contend that, in truth, it was a crime against the voters, the American people.
The enormity of this cancer INSIDE the high levels of our own government against the American people, was quickly swept aside, and all outrage was expressed against just Russia. We know Putin is a threat from outside. Shouldn’t we feel far more aghast and injured when a member of Congress, the US Secretary of State, the candidate INSIDE our race, is torquing the outcome of our PRESIDENTIAL election?
When I received a letter from the DNC asking for a contribution to support the party during the primary contest, I wrote on it, “Do you honestly think that I’m going to give you money, knowing that you are going to spend it not on the candidates, but on the candidate you pre-selected, and you are working your asses off to trample the will of the American voters?“
It is true that “Bernie wasn’t even a Democrat” because Bernie was authentically fighting for everything the DNC pretended to stand for. The DNC functionally was a big ugly corporation whose existence was to take care of the CEO at the expense of the workers. That is more devastating to ‘hope for America’, than Putin, because it is a calculated, concealed cancer inside our center.
The cause of the party’s current resurgence, is the travesty and devastation of Donald Trump and the GOP. Once power reverts to the DNC, that power will fall apart again because the party is too like a self-serving corporate conglomerate. It needs a sincere passionate leader at its helm to whack the likes of the insidious cancer of DSW and HRC, and bring the party’s words and actions into alignment with what is profoundly needed by the American people. AUTHENTICITY is power. In the end, THAT is power.
I would like to be friends with Donna Brazile for the reasons in the first paragraph of this review. She’s a neat woman. I thank her for her work in creating this truly interesting book. I wish her great success. I wish her a beautiful era ahead, far far away from this nastiness.
