Lame. Doesn’t go anywhere. Random characters here and there but none very developed.

A sad attempt at writing a suspenseful novel. Not engaging in any way. Waste of time.

Disappointing. Audible hasn’t been worth it lately
Revisado: 01-25-25
This book is a disappointment. It’s easy to figure out, too far fetched to ever happen and the characters aren’t very well developed. Never found myself rooting for the main character or really caring about her at all. Pretty boring. I’m extremely annoyed I wasted a credit on this one. I’m wondering if Audible is worth the $15 a month. A whole lot of duds lately.

Then one day, Kathy discovers a suspicious number on her husband's phone. Six years before, Kathy accused Robert of infidelity - a charge he vehemently denied - and almost destroyed their marriage in the process. Now Kathy must decide whether to follow her suspicions and risk of losing everything, or to trust.

Don’t bother. A bunch of the same story told three times and then literally no ending, no resolution. Such a huge waste of time. Don’t bother!!!

Too far fetched for me
Revisado: 01-21-25
This book was just so so but I had hopes it would redeem itself with a great ending. No such luck. This book was drab and very mildly entertaining at best with a lame ending. Bummer I wasted a credit on it.

This wasn’t great but a decent time filler. She never got any real answers but did get some legislation passed for a cold case team!

Historia
Christa Playfoot is looking for a fresh start after her divorce. Having lost her Michelin-starred restaurant, she hadn't expected to be job hunting and single just before Christmas. When her best friend says she's recommended Christa for a gig as a private chef over the Christmas period, Christa can't think of a reason to say no. Christa has no idea what to expect but it's certainly not grumpy billionaire divorcee Marc Ferrier and his rambunctious twin sons, or the beautiful but cheerless country estate, Pudding Hall, that they inhabit.

Historia
Ten years ago he killed my son. Today I married him. Ten years ago my darling son Jesse was murdered and our perfect family was destroyed. My strong, handsome boy, so full of life, became a memory, a photo I carried with me everywhere. But today I’m finally close to finding happiness again. My ash-blonde hair has been curled into ringlets. Carefully placed white flowers frame my delicate features. The small, drab chapel has been prettied up with white satin, and there are tiny red hearts scattered on the small table where I will soon sign the register with my new husband.

Disappointing compared to her other books
Revisado: 11-22-24
I liked this story the least out of all of her books: just kind of blah and a way to pass the time. I had it playing on my Bluetooth and went outside leaving it in the house and would come back 15 minutes later feeling like I’d missed absolutely nothing. I don’t recommend wasting a credit.

So slow and the female lead Character is so boring and unlikable.
Revisado: 10-20-24
This book was so slow and so boring. They female lead character couldn’t have been more dull or
Unappealing. Makes it so unrealistic and throws the entire story off trying to get us to believe the lead male character who is gorgeous, charming, kind, would fall for this duller than dull female character. It was dull and boring and I disliked the female character so much I couldn’t even finish the book. Nothing at all even remotely interesting about her. About as exciting as a fence post. Don’t waste your time.

Historia
I thought moving to this quiet cul-de-sac was the fresh start my husband and I needed, escaping the noise of our cramped flat in Hounslow. I left India and all that was familiar for a new life with him in England. But my husband works all hours, leaving me alone in a house that doesn’t feel like a home. Our neighbours notice the bruises on my arms. They draw the obvious conclusions. They seem kind, but they’re hiding something. I just can’t shake the feeling that someone is always watching me . . . waiting. My husband’s working late. Again. That’s when I see it.

Completely confusing and all over the place. Worst audio book I’ve listened to as of yet!
Revisado: 10-13-24
This book was impossible to follow and my brain is jumbled just trying to make it into something that makes sense. It goes back and forth in time, never develops the characters much at all, like there’s no feeling of “knowing them.” I cannot stress enough how much of a total waste of time listening to this was. That being said the narrator’s were decent.
