Historia
After thirteen-year-old Agnes Fisher faints at school, her teacher, the young and still idealistic Amy Slade, is shocked to discover in the girl’s desk two stereoscopic photographs. One is of a dead baby in its cradle, and on the back Agnes has scrawled a terrible message. Worse, the other photograph is of Agnes in a pose captioned “What Mr. Newly Wed Really Wants.”

Best Murdock so far

Revisado: 06-09-16
Top notch plotting with characters being added to and removed from the series. More revelations about Murdoch's past. Wish there had been more interaction with other station members. Great voice characterization, although narrator sometimes gives Murdoch's and Seymour 's name odd inflections.

Historia
A mysterious depiction of masked revellers at the Venice carnival hangs in the college rooms of Oliver's old professor in Cambridge. On this cold winter's night, its eerie secret is revealed by the ageing don. The dark art of the Venetian scene, instead of imitating life, has the power to entrap it. To stare into the painting is to play dangerously with the unseen demons it hides, and become the victim of its macabre beauty....

Classic style horror story with great twist
Revisado: 02-21-13
Would you consider the audio edition of The Man in the Picture to be better than the print version?
Yes, the narration brings the sense of suspense and doom inherent in the story vividly to life.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The final chapters add an ironic twist to the expected outcome. It was sometimes difficult to follow the level of the story as it was being told through several layers.
Have you listened to any of Paul Andsell and Jessica Rushton ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Both did a great job.
Any additional comments?
If you liked the Woman in Black, you will like this story.

Historia
Contained here are nine glorious episodes from the idyllic world of Wodehouse. There's a crime wave that was to rock Blandings Castle to its foundations which broke out towards the middle of a fine summer afternoon; Ukridge appears on Corky's doorstep at three in the morning, wearing his yellow mackintosh and requesting a whisky and soda; while the Oldest Member warns of the folly of driving into the father of the girl you love.

Historia
The usual suspects, including Lord Emsworth and his prize pig, the Empress, line up at Blandings Castle for a Wodehousian caper that sees members of the upper-classes getting hot and bothered over a nude painting they all want to get their hands on. This is wit at its very finest, read by one of our superlative actors, who reads Wodehouse with the requisite style and panache.

Fun listening for fans
Revisado: 02-13-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I wouldn't change anything, as Wodehouse remixes all his standard characters and plot devices for another humorous romp.
Would you be willing to try another book from P. G. Wodehouse? Why or why not?
I am looking forward to other Wodehouse books read by Martin Jarvis.
What does Martin Jarvis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings a cadence to the dialogue and a brisk breezy pace which set a proper tone.
