Historia
It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, and Charlotte and Seth are not looking for romance. Armed with emotional-support bear spray, Charlotte is in self-imposed isolation and on guard from men. Having a stalker can do that to a person’s nerves. Just across the hall and giving off woodsy vibes is Seth, a recently divorced arborist. As in today recently. Heights, he’s fine with. Trust? Not so much.

Historia
Halloween: it’s a holiday where people shed their boring everyday personalities and become fantastic beings ready for an epic party. Well, guess what? That’s Billy Boston 24/7, 365, baby! It’s who I was before I became a millionaire and it’s who I’ll always be. My beautiful next door neighbor, Donna, is a hardworking nurse who takes her job seriously and her fun even more so. All she wants is a no-strings arrangement and that’s fine by me.

Give Me ALL of the Strings!
Revisado: 12-10-24
Kayley Loring and Connor Crais have done it again! With A Very No Strings Halloween, they have given us the epitome of everything you could want from an amazing (or wicked awesome) romcom!! Of course we have their clever and quick-witted banter and laugh out loud style of writing that we all know and love but also the SWOON!! Oh my the swoon! With what started as a fun, role-playing friends with benefits situationship turning into the sweetest HEA for our Billy Boston? Please. It was written perfectly and is everything Billy and Donna deserve and we, the listeners, appreciate!
Let’s Talk Narration! As the main male narrator for the series thus far and the title of a Very Holiday co-writer on a couple of the titles as well, nobody knows Billy Boston better than Connor Crais himself and he was absolutely everything I’d expect Billy to be. Funny, charming, genuine and sincere and of course… the Boston accent!! Nobody can pull together several different characters and accents quite like Connor can so to have all of them making an appearance in one book is so fun to hear!! Connor’s performance was wicked friggin’ awesome and something you truly need to hear for yourself!
And of course saving the best for last, Emma Wilder as Donna Fischer, the one who tamed our Billy down! It’s actually quite difficult to just choose one or two words about Emma’s performance as she was SO MANY things! Of course she was so sweet and charming as Donna but also so kind, so witty and she, too, brought out the best Boston accents! Most importantly Emma as Donna was everything we want for Billy. A person to balance him out, a person who, while opposite in overall personality, doesn’t try to change him and lets him be Billy Boston all the while keeping that calm, smooth voice that could melt buttah!
The whole Very Holiday series is a 5 star must listen but there is truly just something so special about A Very No Strings Halloween and the combined performance of Connor and Emma….it’ll make you laugh, make you swoon and it will most definitely leave you so happy that you gave it a listen!

No tricks, just treat yo’ self to this audio!

Billy Boston gets his own book and finally his own HEA! We met Billy in A Very Bossy Christmas and he’s always been “that guy” in all of the holidays since. He’s the guy that can be relied on for a good time and he’s always around when you need him. But Billy’s also got a heart as big as his personality and it’ll take a woman with a whole lot of moxie to be The One!
When I tell you the way I enjoyed Connor and Emma bringing this love story to life… ugh… *chef’s kiss*… what a wicked duo these 2 are!!
With Emma narrating Billy’s Lady Love Donna, we get her soft, charming tone that’s sweet but also sassy (and a little dirty)… and because we see so many cameos from the ladies we love from holidays past, we get to experience Emma’s ability to easily transition in and out of different accents AND the BEST PART… drum roll for effect… we get to hear her sing and it’s so touching and special, it’s my favorite part of the book!
As the sole male narrator of the Very Holiday series and a co-writer of this book, it is no surprise that this was a Grade A performance from Connor Crais and a masterclass in accents and narrating. You get to experience so many of those different accents right away in Chapter 1 but of course none were better than the Boston accent of one Billy O’Sullivan. And who knows Billy better than Connor does? What I enjoyed most from Connor was not only how funny and ridiculous Billy could be but that he still made Billy sound so sincere and genuine at the same time. You can truly feel how much he loves Donna and if he can’t take care of a situation himself, it’s cool because he knows a guy!
A Very No Strings Halloween is an absolute 5 star wicked awesome MUST LISTEN story, especially if you’re a fan of the KayCo writing and narrating we all know and love!!

It’s the Most Wonderful Box Set of the Year
Revisado: 09-29-24
There is nothing not to love about this box set as the “Very Holiday” series is some of Kayley Loring’s best work and with the box set, we get the first 3 books of the series and THEE best narration!! With A Very Bossy Christmas and A Very Friendly Valentine’s Day, we get to see more of the RomComs we’ve grown to love from Kayley where she is executing just the most perfect, charming storylines with such well thought out writing that will always have you not only falling completely in love with all of the characters but also laughing out loud because of the quick wit and clever banter. And the musical references. Those sharp, well-placed musical references are what makes Kayley such a master of her craft, knowing exactly when and how to use them for the best effect. Throw in the swoon and spice and you won’t want to stop listening!! No matter your trope of choice, this series is bound to have at least one of them and it has all the hilarious (and sometimes drunken) voicemails and text messages you never knew you needed as it brings out the best snort-inducing laughs you’ll be thinking about long after you’re done listening!!
With the Very Holiday series, we are introduced to the Irish-Italian Cannavale/O’Sullivan/Cassidy families and friends. While all of books in the series intertwine with each other and we hear little tidbits about all of the characters we’ve grown to love throughout, each of the books focuses on one leading man and his lady love!
In A Very Bossy Christmas we’ve got Declan, a successful lawyer who is the most alpha of all alpha males… he’s cocky and he works too much but dang if he’s isn’t also the swooniest and most lovable at the same time, especially when you get to know him! And the filthy mouth on that one… this guy is the ultimate book boyfriend. Until we meet Eddie, Declan’s brother, in A Very Friendly Valentine’s Day. Giving book boyfriends everywhere a run for their money. He’s a Hollywood actor and ends up on a cross-country train ride with his longtime best friend (who just happens to be a woman of course!) These 2 have the sweetest (and funniest) friends-to-lovers coupling and are so lovable, you can’t get enough of them and the shenanigans that ensue… so so great!!
Rounding out the 3rd main man in the first box set of the series is Nolan Cassidy, an Irish cousin to Declan and Eddie who is full of piss and vinegar. With A Very Vegas St. Patrick’s Day, we get to see the co-writing skills of the man himself, the male narrator for the Very Holiday Series, Mr. Connor Crais. Connor absolutely dominates not only the series, making each character unique in their own way so as to stand out from the others, but as Nolan Cassidy, he crushes the Irish accent and gives you the real life heart eyes emoji while you swoon. As a co-writer, Connor blends so well with Kayley that it’s hard to know where one of their writing ends and the other’s begins. The comedic timing and heart put behind the writing to not only make what you’re reading and listening to a great story but to be the kind of story that will have you talking about it with and recommending it to your friends long after the fact is what makes Kayley and Connor’s writing next level, making them a forever favorite!!
