This is one of those audio books where I sit in the parking lot and can't get out of my car. Moves along and does not bog down and go into the weeds. This Copilot was really put to the test.

Historia
Boeing is a century-old titan of industry. It played a major role in the early days of commercial flight, World War II bombing missions, and moon landings. The plane maker remains a cornerstone of the U.S. economy, as well as a linchpin in the awesome routine of modern air travel. But in 2018 and 2019, two crashes of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 killed 346 people. The crashes exposed a shocking pattern of malfeasance, leading to the biggest crisis in the company’s history—and one of the costliest corporate scandals ever.

Not what I expected. Goes off on a tangent quite a bit. Deep dive into the Boeing people. Lot of filler....Oh well.

Great stories. need a better narrator though.
Revisado: 06-06-21
Took a bit to get used to the narrator. Almost like each sentence was told in bits and pieces. Hard to explain really. Over all. great story.

Historia
September 1962: On a moonless night over the raging Atlantic Ocean, a thousand miles from land, the engines of Flying Tiger flight 923 to Germany burst into flames, one by one. Pilot John Murray didn't have long before the plane crashed headlong into the 20-foot waves at 120 mph. As the four flight attendants donned life vests, collected sharp objects, and explained how to brace for the ferocious impact, 68 passengers clung to their seats. They all expected to die.

Revisado: 06-06-21
Anticipated more on the actual crash into the Atlantic. Really wasn't looking for detailed stories on individual passengers through out. I have a lot of these Aviation audio books and some I can listen to over and over. I didn't even finish this one.

Great storytelling here. This pilot tells it all in great detail without bogging down on any one area. I felt really bad for what this pilot went through to find his dream job. Before you go for that big ticket you need to listen to this!

Historia
I’m a cargo pilot. In the industry, I’m known as a “Freight Dog.” I fly canceled checks and other types of high-value cargo around the country, mostly at night, in airplanes that are older than I am. Flying freight - or “work” as we call it - in small, twin-engine aircraft is a lesser known side of the aviation world. Our day starts when banker’s hours end. Thousands of flights move millions of pounds of work from city to city every night while the rest of the country is asleep.
