Historia
Whether it's her work today as a reporter and host for Fox News or the time she spent competing in pageants like Miss America, Shannon Bream has spent her adult life navigating high-pressure environments where perfection is expected and competition is the name of the game. But in this laugh-out-loud book of stories and inspiration, Shannon shares the moments away from the cameras and the halls of government, in which she learned that the values and faith of her blue-collar upbringing could keep her grounded in a world where everyone wants you to be something other than who you are.

Excellent story told as informative and gave a clear understanding of Shannon’s upbringing as well as the exciting and challenging life experiences without ‘sniveling ‘ as some biographies have done.

Historia
In this New York Times best seller, David Limbaugh exposes the liberal hypocrisy of promoting political correctness while discriminating against Christianity. From the elimination of school prayer to the story of Christianity in America being eradicated from history textbooks, this persuasive book shows that our social engineers inculcate hostility toward Christianity and its values in the name of diversity, tolerance, and multiculturalism.

Required Reading at its Best
Revisado: 01-02-19
I believe that every parent every K through 12 grade student as well as College students, should be required to read this book and be aware of the subtleties, which have become standard practice attacking our Christian faith in the United States especially through the education system and in our political system. David Limbaugh doesn’t excellent job of identifying and summarizing many of these actions.
Should be required reading for all families and not just read by the parents.

The host of Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight offers a blistering critique of the new American ruling class, the elites of both parties, who have taken over the ship of state, leaving the rest of us, the citizen-passengers, to wonder: How do we put the country back on course?

Investigative reporting at its best!
Revisado: 10-31-18
As usual, John crams a huge amount of backed-up data into a very understandable and highly easy to understand format that I was only sorry when I finished the book because I didn’t want it to end.
Great job John.

Interesting and Thought Provoking
Revisado: 07-03-18
Found very interesting and parallels a book of several years ago by Dr Tim LaHayes, “Spirit Controlled Temperament”It is not a fun read as it will require several rereads especially in those areas to which I identify,
I believe this book could be very helpful to young couples especially for all engaged couples and anyone that work in an environment, requiring understanding of other peoples orientation.
I believe many pastors believe they are fundraisers/ motivators and could be well served by reading this book, understanding this book if it is affecting their congregation’s stewardship.

Historia
Behind most major political stories in the modern era, there is an agenda - an effort by opposition researchers, spin doctors, and outside interests to destroy an idea or a person. The tactic they use is the Smear. Every day, Americans are influenced by the Smear without knowing it. Paid forces cleverly shape virtually every image you cross. Maybe you read that Donald Trump is a racist misogynist or saw someone on the news mocking the Bernie Sanders campaign. The trick of the Smear is that it is often based on some shred of truth.

Sharyl
Revisado: 12-09-17
I think this is her second best book (NOTE: I’ve only read two 😉). For me it started out slow as there were several names shared I didn’t either know of or knew very little. I very much enjoy Sharyl’s writing and the documentation she always provides.
She seems to be balanced in her reporting of behavior on both sides of the isle.

Firsthand accounts are best...
Revisado: 01-30-17
And this was one of the best. I thoroughly enjoyed the real life adventures, sacrifices and heartfelt feelings of his true emotions. He shared his desire that someday he could find forgiveness for those that attacked Pearl Harbor but was honest to admit he's not been able to do that yet. As a professing Christian he is very honest and forthright with the struggles that he goes through but never denies the fact that forgiveness is the keystone to his faith. I would not recommend this book to a mother or grandmother whose son or grandson is going in the service but it is a real life his story and if someone who has experienced the military during wartime it mean a lot to them.

Historia
Vinh Chung was born in South Vietnam, just eight months after it fell to the communists in 1975. His family was wealthy, controlling a rice-milling empire worth millions; but within months of the communist takeover, the Chungs lost everything and were reduced to abject poverty. Knowing that their children would have no future under the new government, the Chungs decided to flee the country. In 1979, they joined the legendary “boat people” and sailed into the South China Sea, despite knowing that an estimated two hundred thousand of their countrymen had already perished at the hands of brutal pirates and violent seas.

Great, convicting and life impacting
Revisado: 09-06-16
Excellent true life story. Overwhelmingly convicting if God's love for us even when we have neither heard of Him or know of Him.
Thanks to all theses family members for experiencing these trials which would have caused many of us to give up early on in their journey. But because of their passion and determination and for the Lord's hand in their and Stan Moonyham's vision and commitment to the Lord's vision and the conviction of the WV Board, this testimonial is possible.

Powers asks, "Whatever happened to free speech in America?"

Outstanding read and very factual documentation!
Revisado: 01-15-16
What about Kristin Watson Heintz’s performance did you like?
She sounded so much like Kirsten that I often thought it was Kirsten reading. Excellent job and choice as the narrator.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was truly amazed at how much I agreed with what Kirsten's point of view is. We are a long way politically, from agreeing on many issues but the major theme of the book evaluating how both sides of the isle do not seem to be civil in their discussions and being able to share points of view without character assassination, is so true. I'm ashamed of my party for their role in this behavior but we can't get much done, come together to make our country and communities better nor set a good example of how to resolve issues in a respective but disagreeable manner. What ever happened to the example the Regan and O'Neil set for us of disagreeing on a topic and sometimes pretty violently but then able to go to lunch or have a drink together in a civil manner. Way to go Kirsten and PTL for your eternal decision. Welcome.

Historia
Looking to some of the world's greatest thinkers and inspiring leaders, Brooks explores how, through internal struggle and a sense of their own limitations, they have built a strong inner character. Labor activist Frances Perkins understood the need to suppress parts of herself so that she could be an instrument in a larger cause. Dwight Eisenhower organized his life not around impulsive self-expression but considered self-restraint.

Informative and 'Loaded' wit details
Revisado: 09-12-15
Very diverse with the number and names of people that were used in the story. Too much detail and too many obscure facts, Conclusions were outstanding and thought-provoking. Excellent book but could've been shorter and not left out any vital statistics or information.
I think I would've enjoyed listening to David Brooks narrate the reading but Morey did a fine job as he has done with the other readings he has done.
