Historia
Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older—a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this

Great introduction to Lift as a character
Revisado: 07-30-24
Some people don't like Lift much and maybe reading this book will convince them there's more to her than we can see in the second storm light book.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

An incredible start to one of the best epic fantasy series
Revisado: 07-01-24
Strong characters with their own motivations and flaws. A great start to the series with a satisfying ending that leaves you wanting to read the whole thing.

Revisado: 07-26-23
Sentient space ships are one of my favorite themes in the genre, this book delivers in spades on that; with great characters and a lovely plot.

Very different from a regular Sanderson novel
Revisado: 03-04-23
Diifferent, but not bad. There were a few cringe moments where the characters are doing stuff that I wouldn't have done, but I don't think that's bad story telling, just the characters being... regular people. Listening to this made me very curious about the Dark One universe, definitely going to read the graphic novel next.

A worthy end to era two
Revisado: 12-26-22
The Cosmere is really starting to leak into the world of Wax & Wayne You'll enjoy this book a lot if you've read Brandon's other books, or without having read those perhaps you'll come away curious to read more about the various people and magic systems the heroes encounter in this conclusion. Definitely recommend.

Six months ago she woke up in a stranger's body, and she's afraid she might have to give it back. The whole city is falling to pieces. it's an awesome book, just like the first two in the series. And just like the first two books it raises many more questions than it answers. Can't wait for the fourth book!

Exceptional performance by Cindy Kay

I'm going to need at least a sixth star to properly rate Cindy Kay's narration of this book but really probably a seventh. It's a great story but the narration really takes it to another level.

Historia
The world has changed. Now, when someone is murdered, they almost always come back to life—and there are professionals, called “dispatchers”, who kill in order to save lives, to give those near the end a second chance. Tony Valdez is a dispatcher, and he has never been busier. But for as much as the world has changed, some things have stayed the same. Greed, corruption, and avarice are still in full swing.

Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.
