Highly Recommend to my patients and their family!
Revisado: 11-02-23
As a physician who frequently manages the elderly population, this book is an excellent source for families to learn about dementia. It went over the common types of cognitive impairment, touched on the pathophysiology, and explained the best approach when seeking out doctors. Most importantly however, this book offered many interesting stories and examples of people caring for their loved ones with dementia. These stories dove into how one can reduce stress, improve safety, and maximize quality time with family. The book is concise enough to get through in a day or week. Again, highly recommend this as a starting point for families and even patients who deal with dementia.
