It is The Campus. Secretly created under the administration of President Jack Ryan, its sole purpose is to eliminate terrorists and those who protect them. Officially, it has no connection to the American government - a necessity in a time when those in power consider themselves above such arcane ideals as loyalty, justice, and right or wrong.

It was the deal of the decade, if not the century. A small, insignificant company on the edge of bankruptcy had discovered an alchemist's dream; a miraculous polymer, that when coated on any vehicle, was the equivalent of 30 inches of steel. With bloody conflicts surging in Iraq and Afghanistan, the polymer promises to save thousands of lives and change the course of both wars.

The Iranian effort to develop nuclear weapons was the inspiration for this tale of spies, assassination, skullduggery, military action and political intrigue. Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the Devil's Disciple, and he has a plan. With 12 nuclear warheads mounted on twelve missiles, he will make Iran a martyr nation; then he will lead the world's Muslims in a holy war against western civilization.

Shortly after Army lawyer Sean Drummond starts working for the Office of Special Projects, a CIA cell which handles the most dangerous threats, the White House Chief of Staff is found brutally murdered. A note left by the killer promises more victims, including the President.
