Historia
Six years have passed since Jake Fisher watched Natalie, the love of his life, marry another man. Six years of hiding a broken heart by throwing himself into his career as a college professor. Six years of keeping his promise to leave Natalie alone, and six years of tortured dreams of her life with her new husband, Todd. But six years haven’t come close to extinguishing his feelings, and when Jake comes across Todd’s obituary, he can’t keep himself away from the funeral. There he gets the glimpse of Todd’s wife he’s hoping for...but she is not Natalie....

Didn’t … Don’t Bother
Revisado: 04-02-23
This was just so darned dull and ponderous with a whiny sounding main character. I didn’t bother to finish despite starting over three times. The third time was not the charm. Would recommend you don’t bother.

Historia
General George S. Patton, Jr., died under mysterious circumstances in the months following the end of World War II. For almost 70 years, there has been suspicion that his death was not an accident - and may very well have been an act of assassination. Killing Patton will take listeners inside the final year of the war and recount the events surrounding Patton's tragic demise, naming names of the many powerful individuals who wanted him silenced.

Worth the Listen!
Revisado: 04-02-23
I have been a big fan of General Patton ever since I saw the movie with George C. Scott. So even as I am a fan of the “Killing …” series, I thought this would be an interesting audiobook. Am I was not disappointed. I enjoyed that the story is told within the context of the era in which he led. The contextual background made for a rich, more in-depth understanding of the man.
Kudos to those who kept his body from being the subject of morbid photography. On the other hand, Shane on the petty little men who enabled his death to be treated with such nonchalance. Their inaction further cements the likelihood that it was not merely a traffic collision.”

Not Left Hanging
Revisado: 03-07-23
Not bad…just meh. A rather convoluted way to tell a story that was good for the just the current-day aspects of the story. There was no need for the distracting flashbacks to the 1800s; the substance of that message could have been added to Novotny’s story line to reinforce why he was so morally outraged and indignant about aspects of the criminal justice system.
Am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series but will read and listen to some other things between now and then.
Overall, a C+
