Historia
Every generation, a journalist has looked deep into the heart of the nuclear military establishment: the technologies, the safeguards, the plans, and the risks. These investigations are vital to how we understand the world we really live in—where one nuclear missile will beget one in return, and where the choreography of the world’s end requires massive decisions made on seconds’ notice with information that is only as good as the intelligence we have. Pulitzer Prize finalist Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario explores this ticking-clock scenario.

A frightening set of scenarios
Revisado: 06-11-24
The content included in this book is not for the faint of heart. I would still encourage any reader to keep an open mind about all of these scenarios, which could be likely. I wrapped up the booked feeling more compelled than ever to lead with safety, curiosity and compassion for myself and others. It does not have to come to nuclear war, and if it does I will know I did my part to bring more consciousness to the world. Excellent read.

Historia
Artificial intelligence is smarter than humans. It can process information at lightning speed and remain focused on specific tasks without distraction. AI can see into the future, predicting outcomes and even use sensors to see around physical and virtual corners. So why does Intelligence frequently get it so wrong? The answer is us. Humans design the algorithms that define the way that AI works and the processed information reflects an imperfect world.

Mo presents arguments and scenarios that support multiple points of view. I finished the book feeling much more empowered than victimized by AI.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Keep it simple, coach!
Revisado: 05-17-23
All of us have abided by rules that we don’t even question anymore. In her book, Clare is asking us to stay genuinely curious and question everything, including our ways of thinking, doing and being. After reading this book, I started to throw out my old scripts and beliefs. The results have been nothing short of transformational for me, and of course for the THINKERS who I coach! We should be putting this book in the hands of every coach, regardless of their experience. We’ve over complicated the practice of coaching, and after applying the dozens of mindset shifts from Clare’s book, you’ll transform into a coach who experiences more joy, satisfaction and fulfillment in their work by just keeping it SIMPLE.

Historia
In this revolutionary book, renowned physician Gabor Maté eloquently dissects how in Western countries that pride themselves on their healthcare systems, chronic illness and general ill health are on the rise. Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug; more than half take two. In Canada, every fifth person has high blood pressure. In Europe, hypertension is diagnosed in more than 30 percent of the population. And everywhere, adolescent mental illness is on the rise. So what is really “normal” when it comes to health?

For the sneaker heads, Butt Faces and haters
Revisado: 05-03-16
Shoes are such a simple thing. We put them on, tie them, slip them off and on, and all with little thought.
To Phil, it is so much more than that. Shoes were the rubber meeting the road, and that road has taken him on a wild, tiresome and fulfilling journey.
This book is for the bold, the creative, the spirited...not just the athlete. In short, if you have a pulse and a desire to achieve great things, this book is for you.
