I am a hardcore ToG fan, and this book matches the excellence readers of this series have come to expect. How Sarah J. Mass is able to tie the saga that is her world of the Throne of Glass novels together so well is beyond me, but man am I glad she does. I did not want this book to be the end of the series because I adore it so much, but if the series must end, this is the perfect book to do so. As ever, Elizabeth Evans delivers a thrilling performance, bringing Mass's characters to life. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I immediately repeat-listened to it after I finished it. I laughed, I cried, I gasped, I honestly forgot I was listening to a book this book pulls you in that well!

I really loved this story. I'd never read the book before and thanks to this dramatized adaptation I did! I found the story unlike anything I'd really heard or read before and loved the performances by actors I'd seen and loved like James McAvoy, Christopher Lee, Natalie Dormer, Benedict Cumbertach and Anthony Head, and others I didn't know like David Harewood and Sophie Okendo (though I've since seen and enjoyed more of their work!)

My only ONLY complaint with this production is I found some of the audio recording hard to understand. It's NOT because of their accents, just the volumes seemed a bit inconsistent and I constantly had to fiddle with the headphone volume.

You don't have to already love Felicia Day as an actor, comedian, and Internet personality to find her memoir funny, entertaining, and full of life. Day brings the audience stories of her childhood and tales of her acting career both before and after she found her niche in the exclusive entertainment business without forcing emotions from her readers and without writing all her struggles off as comedic gold. She addresses the struggles of pressures young actors face, from being told to loose or gain weight, get plastic surgery, and less-than legit "films" that many actors trying to break into the Hollywood life are met with without seeming preachy, but still showing how challenging finding work, any work, is.

She brings up her foray into life on the Internet both as a gamer and how she found one of her loyal fan-bases and became Internet famous, which has helped her become famous-famous and well loved. Probably one of my favorite aspects of her book, and also one of the heartbreaking moments is when she addresses the ugly side of fame, especially when the Internet allows so many to be cruel without having to put their real name and faces to their hateful actions. When she expressed an opinion and was treated harshly (which is putting it mildly) and how she as a professional, as a personality everyone expects to be allowed a piece of, and as a human being living on the planet, had to take the unfavorable aspects of fame and continue doing what she does-entertaining and working and being an awesome human being.

I urge readers, both fans of Felicia, and not to read and listen to her memoir, you won't regret it!

I found other books by the legendary Brian Jacques more enjoyable than Mattimeo. I found a lot of the main characters annoying and hard to sympathize with. Jacques still writes his inhabitants of the world of Mossflower Wood and Redwall Abbey in his wonderful style bringing animals of all walks of life together in companionable life, but I recommend other titles from his extensive Redwall works.

The first installment in a series fun, but slow

I am a lifelong fan of Brian Jacques, though in all honesty, I've only read (and re-read) a handful of his expansive Redwall series. I hadn't read this title in ages, so when I downloaded this book it really was as if I was listening to the book for the first time. I enjoyed this book, the bravery the inhabitants of Redwall Abbey in the face of a dangerous band of ruffians is a fun story but I did find the story a little plodding. The full-cast recording is also a fun way to break up the large cast of characters Jacques wrote, but some of the voices were hard to understand for me and some were just not very good performances in my opinion. Cluny especially was more laughable that villainous to me. So take on this first installment if you'd like, but know that if you want to skip around the series you'll find other titles just as enjoyable.

In the spirit of full disclosure, listening to this title was not my first time reading this book. I did not enjoy this novel as an elementary school student and was skeptical if I would enjoy the book a second time when I decided to give it another try. I'd hoped listening to others read the story might help it come to life for me in a way reading the book as a child did not. I was still unimpressed. I find Madeline L'Engle's writing style to be dated and hard to follow. Meg is whiny, and Charles Wallace is creepy. I found the narration annoying and it did not transform me into the world L'Engle had created. I don't recommend this title and feel like this title has become a classic, but I hope it eventually fades into obscurity.

Leigh Bardugo proves she is one fantastic writer yet again with her take on this classic character in Wonder Woman: Warbringer. The story captures the reader instantly and several times I forgot I was listening to a movie and felt I was living the story. Bardugo creates the captivating world of the Amazons that makes us all wish we could be one of the brave women. She takes us to the 'real world' and endearingly writes a Diana that is both amazed and confused with the materialistic and modernized society of today.
In her true style, Bardugo keeps her readers guessing and surprises them with true plot twists that will leave the audience breathless. Her writing of Diana will impress and delight longtime Wonder Woman fans and new fans alike. Her supporting characters are lovable and hilarious and rich, three-dimensional people, not just fodder barely supporting Diana's adventures. I don't know if Bardugo will write more stories of Diana, but if she does, I'll definitely be reading it and recommend that everyone else does the same with this book and any other that may come our way!

The Hobbit is a book that for me has been a lifelong favorite. This book tells us the story of the hobbit Bilbo who through no action or fault of his own becomes the key player in an adventure full of dangers and riddles. Bilbo a safe, comfortable homebody is turned from his life of ease in the country to the life of a 'burglar' where he meets (and usually out-smarts) men, elves, and dwarves, and also the dangers of trolls, goblins, dragons, and murderous creatures in caves. Bilbo's story not surprisingly, has become a well-known and well loved tale showing the world time and again, that no matter how the world tells you you are too small or insignificant, you can be the answer to the problem, and hold the power of the world in your hand.

The Return of the King is the well known and loved conclusion to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This book wraps up the story of Frodo and the Ring of Power and the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring. Fans of the written trilogy, movies, or both, will enjoy this production read by Rob Inglis.
