Historia
One in ten American adults tried intermittent fasting last year, and they may be on to something. The latest research shows that fasting repairs cellular damage, improves the outcomes for chemotherapy patients, and helps with keeping a healthy weight, leading to a resurgence in recent years. Journalist Steve Hendricks’s The Oldest Cure in the World tells the history of fasting—from the ancient world (Jesus treated an epileptic with fasting) to its rediscovery centuries later.

Not quite what I expected…

Not sure I learned anything of importance. Maybe eliminating several chapters would have made it more digestible.

We believe these are the divisions that are threatening to tear America apart. But what if the culprit isn't a political ideology or a class of people but a puppet master? He's been manipulating us for centuries - and now he's brought us to the brink of implosion.

In Washington, politicians are full of half-truths and hot air. They do little more than grandstanding by spouting off talking points and spin. The Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz is here to help you cut through the rhetoric and noise and explore the politically right way to think about the issues .

If you would have told me that in the year 2020 I would stand at the White House podium and communicate with the American people as COVID-19 ravaged the globe and violent protests beset the nation, I would have told you that you were crazy. But Jesus Christ had this very plan for my life.

Loved learning about some of the behind the scenes activities. Kayleigh earned the position she rose to, and deserves so much credit for her contributions to the Trump administration. She is an incredibly intelligent, articulate and a very special woman. I love that she narrated the book herself, that makes it even more enjoyable! A must read for anyone with a heart.

Historia
This time the soul of America really is at stake. Sure, for many years we’ve heard this language dramatically and cynically utilized during political campaigns, but this time it’s actually true. American exceptionalism faces more systemic threats and existential peril than ever before. A culture that can’t agree on what a border, citizen, criminal, law, constitution, life, or even the truth is probably doesn’t have long to last. But as Jesus warned in Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is plenty but the workers are few.”

Wow. This book pretty much describes the conditions of this world, in a nutshell. I hope this book can find its way into the hands, hearts and minds of a good chunk of some of those 20 million folks. I know I’ll share it with family and friends that I hope will do what they believe. Thanks for this Steve. And a shout out to Todd and Aaron as well, the conversations you share on your shows need to be heard by all! Wonderful collaboration!

In this powerful audiobook, pastor, professor, and leading cultural apologist Voddie Baucham explains the sinister worldview behind the social justice movement and how it has quietly spread like a fault system, not only through our culture, but throughout the evangelical church in America. He also details the devastation it is already wreaking - and what we can do to get back on solid ground before it’s too late.

Historia
The Theft of America’s Soul is a prophetic wake-up call for all who desire to see our nation thrive, challenging listeners to exchange these 10 lies for truths that will bring peace of mind, harmony, and prosperity back to our country - an invitation to experience the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming love of God. Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and one of the most recognized voices of conservative Christianity in America, believes that little by little, America has allowed the lines of morality, decency, and virtue to be erased.

Revisado: 02-13-21
I always enjoy a book narrated by the author. Phil is a straight shooter, telling it like it is. If we as Americans can understand the simple connections of our history through the faith of the founding fathers, all would be well with the soul of the nation.

From his childhood summers in Communist Czechoslovakia that began his political thought process, to working on construction sites with his father, to the major achievements of President Trump's administration, Donald Trump, Jr., spares no details and delivers a book that focuses on success and perseverance, and proves offense is the best defense.

Revisado: 02-15-20
Loved every minute of the book! Excellent analysis of politics and how they work from a nonpartisan, non political point of view. I especially enjoyed Don juniors perspective on how the political machines operate, (business as usual, from both sides) and how the mainstream media and social media work so well together. Almost in perfect harmony, just as if they were all being conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Don junior has a wonderful sense of humor and and very clear understanding how we the people have been getting screwed over by longtime career politicians. My only complaint is that he didn’t narrate the entire book, after I finished it I understood why! He is a very busy, hardworking guy! Just like his father and the rest of his family.

Just finished listening to the audio version. I absolutely love it when the author does it themselves! You can feel the passion coming from Jedediah’s heart as she tells the serious, and often humorous stories throughout the book. She certainly has shed some light on the errors of my ways. Thank you Jedediah, this is one for the ages!! I cannot wait to pass this on to my children!
