Timeless
Revisado: 09-22-12
What made the experience of listening to Rebecca the most enjoyable?
Returning to an old favorite brought back good memories of long lazy Summers, front porch, swings, and good books. I started reading this every Summer during my teenage years and somehow had put it back on the shelf but never out of my mind. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to hear it read. As ever, I was enthralled at character development and the plot moves so quickly. I will listen again I am sure...maybe every Summer to keep up an old and good habit.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
well, considering it is the umpteenth time I have read it I can't say that it did this time! But the plot unfolded differently for me with the nuances more obvious.
Which character – as performed by Anna Massey – was your favorite?
Favorite but not likeable...Ms. Danvers!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Consumed by Water Fire and Desire

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

probably the best King book ever
Revisado: 05-14-12
What did you love best about 11-22-63?
Character development was superb. They were all "alive" enhanced by an awesome audio
Which scene was your favorite?
Choosing a scene from this book as my favorite is very difficult, perhaps when Deke comes to Jake's aid to rescue his lovely now scarred lady.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would love to have enough time to read in one sitting, but one does have to stop and go to work so they can afford more audibles!
Any additional comments?
The narrator for this book is undeniably the perfect person for the task. His ability to use varying regional accents in reliable form is great. He sounds just like I thought Jake would sound.
