Historia
The explosive sequel to the Greig Beck blockbuster Fathomless. Cate Granger is chasing ghosts. The monster shark she once encountered was a remnant of the ancient world - one that had escaped an underwater lair previously sealed off for millions of years. At great cost, Cate and her allies had killed the beast. So, no more ghosts, no more shadows. All gone. Or so Cate thought.

OUTSTANDING PLOTTING AND CRAFTMANSHIP
Revisado: 07-23-22
In a market filled with one-dimensional "meg" stories, Greig Beck's work stands out for high quality tale-telling and imagination. Well beyond best of breed. If you liked these, check out his Center of the Earth series - in fact, all his work. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Historia
A small change today can change our tomorrow. A small change 100 million years ago can change everything. No one really noticed when things started to change. Some animals vanished. Some new ones appeared. Then some things appeared that were monstrous. No one seemed to notice except Ben Cartwright and the other survivors of hidden plateau in the depths of the Amazon jungle. Only they were aware of the growing threat to the human race.

Beck is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Revisado: 07-23-22
Greig Beck is well worth a read. In an Amazon market filled with well-meaning but two dimensional works, his novels stand out strongly as high quality imaginative work. The best thing about his writing is the fact that his work is an evolution and improvement and not simply a hacked version of a particular vision originally by others. His craftmanship is outstanding, making his e-imagining of Verne ( Mysterious Island and Center of the Earth), Doyle (Primordia), and Lovecraft (Book of the Dead) are mature works that stand perfectly on their own rather than just derivative second tier efforts. His work reminds me of Michael Shea’s works set in Jack Vance’s Dying Earth, or the various sendups written by Philip Jose Farmer. READ THIS SERIES!

Historia
In December 2018, Ben Cartwright, former Special Forces soldier, and a team of naive explorers followed the clues left by his ancestor to a hidden plateau in the middle of the Amazon jungle. It was said that once every 10 years, a secret pathway was revealed to a world long since gone. They went, and what they found was a place of wonders and of horrors. Only Ben and his childhood love, Emma, survived. But when the doorway to the hidden world closed, Ben was trapped on the wrong side. Now, Emma has waited 10 long years for the doorway to open again. This time she’d be ready.

Historia
At the edge of the abyss, where the Blake Plateau abruptly gives way to the deepest parts of the Atlantic Ocean, biologists investigate the largest marine die-off in history. An Everest-style base camp supporting scientists, staff, and eco-tourists sits at the edge of the drop-off, but the scientific mission turns to one of survival when mutant sea creatures threaten the base. Steven Hunte is a sea dog for hire, an ex-Navy biologist turned environmental activist who's been hired to support scientists studying the die-off.

Good dialogue and an original plot. I liked it. The narration was good. I felt like the plot was a little thin but overall it was good. Would listen again.

Historia
A journey into the deepest, darkest jungles of the Venezuelan Amazon...and a primeval place and time that mankind was never meant to exist in. Ben Cartwright, former soldier, home to mourn the loss of his father, stumbles upon cryptic letters from the past between author Arthur Conan Doyle and his great-great-grandfather who vanished while exploring the Amazon jungle in 1908. Amazingly, these letters lead Ben to believe that his ancestor’s expedition was the basis for Doyle’s fantastical tale of a lost world inhabited by long-extinct creatures.

Good series - great storyline and original treatme
Revisado: 01-02-22
Really liked the Primordia series ... very listenable and could not put them down. In fact the best part of Christmas 2020 is that I got time to listen to all three volumes in a row. Very original take in Vol I on the Conan Doyle Lost World story and Volumes II - and particularly III - go well beyond the original Doyle theme in a captivating way. Could not put these down, and my wife gave me a hard time for not paying attention to family Xmas stuff instead of listening to Audible.
Highly recommended. Check out Beck's other works, well worth the listen.

Down there, beyond the deepest caves, below the crust and the mantle, there is another world. She knows it’s real because 50 years ago, she and a team travelled there. And only she made it back. Today, caving specialist Mike Monroe leads a crew into the world’s deepest cave in the former Soviet Union.
