I find myself "put off" a bit with new readers for a favorite character like Alex Cross. Andre Braugher has a smooth and sophisticated voice. Hum, it took time for me to get out of my "mind set" for the voices of previous readers and into his characterization of the hero.
Be flexible, you'll enjoy the story more.

Elizabeth Peters brilliant writing was mangled in this "abridged" version. I hope she reads the reviews here as it seems many people who are willing to write reviews are disappointed. 5 stars to the gifted Barbara Rosenblat for her perseverance.
