Historia
The United States is in the grip of a crisis of bad history. Distortions of the past promoted in the conservative media have led large numbers of Americans to believe in fictions over facts, making constructive dialogue impossible and imperiling our democracy. In Myth America, Kevin M. Kruse and Julian E. Zelizer have assembled an all-star team of fellow historians to push back against this misinformation.

One sided
Revisado: 06-07-23
I have been taught there are 3 sides to every story. Side 1; side 2 and somewhere in the middle is the true story.
The facts presented here are historically true. However the interruptions are the authors view points and opinions.
If the book is required reading at Princeton, I now understand why the college grads today “think”as they do.
One question to the authors; where would this country be today if our forefathers had Not rebelled against the British?
I agree, this country is not perfect, but it is better than most.
I hope to find a book that will tell side 2 of the facts, that way I can determine what I will believe.

Always enjoy following the women’s murder club. Starting to get a little bit predictable but still enjoy a favorable ending.

A precise killer, he always moves under the cover of darkness, flawlessly triggering no alarms, leaving no physical evidence. Cross and Sampson aren’t the only ones investigating. Also in on this most intriguing case is the world’s bestselling true-crime author, who sees patterns everyone else misses. The writer, Thomas Tull, calls the Family Man murders the perfect crime story. He believes the killer may never be caught. Cross knows there is no perfect crime. And he’s going to hunt down the Family Man no matter what it takes.

Historia
The transition from President Donald J. Trump to President Joseph R. Biden Jr. stands as one of the most dangerous periods in American history. But as number one internationally best-selling author Bob Woodward and acclaimed reporter Robert Costa reveal for the first time, it was far more than just a domestic political crisis. Woodward and Costa interviewed more than 200 people at the center of the turmoil, resulting in more than 6,000 pages of transcripts - and a spellbinding and definitive portrait of a nation on the brink.

THREE SIDES —- WHERE’s the MIDDLE
Revisado: 10-22-21
My grandfather told me there are three sides to every story. This is one side of the story that comes from individuals point of view or recollections of how events transpired.
I am waiting to read the 2nd side of the story before I try and determine the truth; that is somewhere in the middle

Historia
Viktor Orlov had a longstanding appointment with death. Once Russia’s richest man, he now resides in splendid exile in London, where he has waged a tireless crusade against the authoritarian kleptocrats who have seized control of the Kremlin. His mansion in Chelsea’s exclusive Cheyne Walk is one of the most heavily protected private dwellings in London. Yet somehow, on a rainy summer evening, in the midst of a global pandemic, Russia’s vengeful president finally manages to cross Orlov’s name off his kill list.

Probably my last
Revisado: 08-09-21
I have read/listened to the Entire Allon series. However, this is probably my last.
Why?
1. All the books seem to follow same pattern.
2. The last couple of the chapters, although supposedly fiction, is based too much on “one side” of the American 2020 election. The information presented in the “note” are of incidents that have now been proven incorrect.
3. 39% is NOT a representation of the whole Republican Party..
4. The so called Jan 6 insurrection was not organized by the Republican Party. plus perhaps the author should have researched deeper into both sides of the incident….
5. The “notes” provide a “one sided” review
6. No, Republicans are not against democracy, but we are against socialism….
7. Plus, take a much deeper look at the Policies that Trump implemented….
8. Why is CIVID so high now….could it be due to all the illegal immigrants allowed in without quarantine and/or vaccination…
NO,more of one sided novel by this author fir me…I am done!

Historia
Something sinister is going on in Baronville. The rust belt town has seen four bizarre murders in the space of two weeks. Cryptic clues left at the scenes - obscure Bible verses, odd symbols - have the police stumped. Amos Decker and his FBI colleague Alex Jamison are in Baronville visiting Alex's sister and her family. It's a bleak place: a former mill and mining town with a crumbling economy and rampant opioid addiction. Decker has been there only a few hours when he stumbles on a horrific double murder scene.

As usual David keeps you interested in the story by bringing in many intriguing characters.
The story is relevant to today’s society and Baronville could be any small town in America.
