Another HOME RUN. This book was a sheer joy to listen to. The story was excellent. This is a series that any parent can let their young adult child read with total peace of mind. It is action-packed enough for any age, but also suitable for any age.

Great story filled with disturbing content.

If you are woke, or blue pilled, or a social justice warrior and you listen to this book be repaired to lose your mind.
Now for all the rest of the people who are thinking about listening to this book I do have a serious warning for you, there is content in this book that many people WILL find disturbing, The book is filled with graphic descriptions of bondage and rape, so if you are a person with a low tolerance for sexual content do not listen to this book!
Ok for those of you still left reading this review who enjoy military ops fiction filled with violence and super cool badass agents that kill bad guys and save America from its enemies and can tolerate a cross-section of sexual fantasy fiction dig in and enjoy.

I swear to god John Ringo is a time traveler, the man wrote a book in 2008 that is about a flu outbreak from China that starts in 2019 and is not taken seriously because, hey it's only the flu.

Wheel of Time and Game of Thrones this is not, what it is, is a nice little fun set of books that becomes a manageable series that a mature sci-fi reader will enjoy without having to treat the world and its characters as a University level course. Get ready for a drive, a day at home, or in your office, where ever it is you listen to books and just get ready to enjoy Lark Marcus as he tries to improve his twist of fate.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. However

I am one of those people who really get annoyed when books, movies or TV shows try and force a story into the direction they want by doing something that no one in their right mind would do. About four-fifths of the way into this book the principal characters choose to trust their fate to a sea chase rather than just wait out a difficult encounter or walk to their location which could have easily been done. To me, it was a pointless risk and I don't think real people would do it.
Other than that I liked the book. It was a good read.
