Historia
For fans of Tina Fey and David Sedaris - Internet star Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess, makes her literary debut. Jenny Lawson realized that the most mortifying moments of our lives - the ones we'd like to pretend never happened - are in fact the ones that define us. In Let's Pretend This Never Happened, Lawson takes readers on a hilarious journey recalling her bizarre upbringing in rural Texas, her devastatingly awkward high school years, and her relationship with her long-suffering husband, Victor.

Couldn’t listen to it!
Revisado: 12-12-24
The message was great, but I could not listen to the narrator. It was like he was speaking to a bunch of 2nd graders!

Historia
Roman Halter was a spirited, optimistic schoolboy in 1939 when he and his family gathered behind the curtains to watch the Volksdeutsche (German Polish) neighbors of their small town in western Poland greet the arrival of Hitler's armies with kisses and swastika flags. Within days, the family home had been seized, 12-year-old Roman had become a slave of the local SS chief, and, returning from an errand, he silently witnessed his Jewish classmates being bayoneted to death by soldiers at the edge of town. So began his remarkable six-year journey through some of the darkest caverns of Nazi Europe....

Good story!
Revisado: 10-13-19
Great story. His history was a bit hard to follow during the first half as it was difficult to tell his age.

Historia
In a memoir by turns moving, tragic, and hilarious, Jerry Lewis recounts with crystal clarity every step of a 50-year friendship, from the springtime, 1945 afternoon when the two vibrant young performers destined to conquer the world together met on Broadway and 54th Street, to their tragic final encounter in the 1990s, when Lewis and his wife ran into Dean Martin, a broken and haunted old man.

Very entertaining!
Revisado: 05-06-19
Great story, and a must for all Martin and Lewis fans. And as good as the story was, the narration was equally as good! The narrator did a wonderful job with both Martin and Lewis’ voice!

A must read for every Queen fan!
Revisado: 11-30-18
Very interesting and informative read, from birth to death. Great chronology mixing life with music. Another reviewer complained about this just being a book about AIDS. This book weaves the story of AIDS and it’s travels with Mercury’s life, but I learned things about AIDS I never knew. Highly recommend!
