I've always know that colour played an influence in the effect that images and places had on me but had never fully explored the why. This book has opened a whole new world of perspective and consciousness and now allows me access to all sorts of moods, energies and visual activations that I can choose to use when I need to. I also very much enjoyed the authors light humour and his very personable and relateable manner. The issue of his colour system not aligning to the universal chakra system was initially a concern to me but that too has given me additional freedom and license to make colour work for me in anyway o believe it can.

This is a movement, a way of life, a religion so to speak. It's one simple principle well explained and motivated for in the many different spheres of our life. The author shares practical and inspiring examples from his own life. There is none of the fervour and persuasion of movements and religions - just sharing what has worked for so many. I'm most inspired that unlike minimalism it does not descend into a lengthy list of how to's. Instead it keeps going back to the why of Essentialism which in my understanding is simply that it is a better, easier and more fulfilling way to live. I will revisit this book again and again. What a gift!

Whether you identify as a creative or not, we all have dreams, goals, aspirations and desires for which we have to put ourselves out there to face the prospects of failure, criticism, misunderstanding, judgement, rejection and all the awkward things that can happen when we go for what we want or just be who we truly are. This is a manual for navigating these situations as well as a big reminder of the why we must continue to take risks and embrace discomfort as essential to our growth and evolution. Gilbert expresses this beautifully and magically with rich stories and personal experiences and perspectives that make you see that all our heroes have their own inner dragons to slay even before they show up for us. Beautiful! Highly recommend....

What concise, clear and profound overview of Bhuddism and why mindfulness is the way out of the fog of stress and pain we are constantly labouring through on this planet. Thich speaks as a true master - so sharp and seasoned that he uses the least number of words to portray deep and difficult truth. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a better more peaceful way to do this life thing.

Feelings, hunches and experiences I've had but not been able to articulate. Turns out there really are energetic laws at play that we can learn to use for our greatest joy & fulfilment. Truly enlightening.

Similar story line to the other books yet valuable. Comprehensive breakdown and indicators of where we and those we love & work with are attached. Gave me clarity too on the smoky mirror effect discussed in the other books. Worthwhile read.

This is such a great book. So simple to read and understand yet so profound. Very simple language and no pretentiousness make the narrator refreshing to listen to. The perspective of personal mastery at its core being the unconditional love for self has transformed how I approach finding happiness in this life. A more in depth explanation for some of the concepts in the 5th agreement make it even more useful. I found myself wishing that I'd grown up Toltec!

I always feel as though she is speaking directly to and only to me. That her messages are crafted especially with me and my current situations in mind. I'm sure her appeal is that it feels that way for all her listeners. A very unique perspective on life which once heard in her expression suddenly seems quite obvious. This book was a tonic for me.

Some really great insights and philosophy. The monotonous drone of the same narrator speaking as both Sage & student does not work well. Characters not at all relatable. Would have read better as a straight forward how to or essay on Adlerian psychology.

I've really embraced the metaphor of the chimp that is easily excited and alarmed by risk & ambiguity in the very novel situations its attracted to. I found the tips and strategies for easing and in fact welcoming anxiety simple to implement. I felt understood and more nb any shame I previously carried in anxious moments has fallen away - also reducing resistance which in turn dissolves anxiety faster.
