I highly recommend this audiobook which covers recipes principles and the history of conserving. I have got other books on the topic and found them to be so archaic it was of no use to anyone but a caveman.

Yet, I am not sure how effective the audible is for making you a more positive person while sleeping. Although I can describe some differences on the nights I listen and the nights I don't. If you are floundering with being a negative and apathetic person, I would recommend this audiobook.
