Fitz and missfitz
Revisado: 08-25-15
FitzChivalry Farseer is searching for his kidnapped and perhaps lost daughter Bee. Some how or other he seems to gather together a band of misfits including The fool, some bastard cousins, the orphaned daughter of a whore, a stable boy and a motley crow.
Robin Hobb tells a wonderful tale and weaves intrigue into almost every page. The reader is carried along never quite knowing what will happen next. This is the second book in the trilogy and the story is poised for an exciting climax. I can hardly wait for the final inststallment

Engrossing
Revisado: 05-03-13
Where does Assassin’s Apprentice rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It rates right up at the top. It has become a favourite.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Apart from the main character Fitz I think Chade is my favourite because he is the one that needs the most unraveling. He is the Master Assassin the one character who has the most to unravel,.
Have you listened to any of Paul Boehmer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I enjoy this performance. The reading is very crisp and clear. I hate it when it is time to stop. Paul Boehmer really does bring the characters alive and takes you right into the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The moment when Fitz stabs King Shrewd's knife into Chade's hearth Defiantly.
Any additional comments?
Like I said this book has become a firm favourite, I've read it over and over. I love the court intrigue. The fast pace as the story unfolds.

Historia
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is both a whimsical fantasy and a social satire chock-full of brilliant Twainisms. Hank Morgan, a nineteenth-century American---a Connecticut Yankee---by a stroke of fate is sent back into time to sixth-century England and ends up in Camelot and King Arthur's Court.

Twice As Nice
Revisado: 03-10-13
Would you listen to A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court again? Why?
Yes. I already have done so.
What other book might you compare A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court to and why?
It is a classic fish out of water, step back in time tale. What you do if you could step back into time?
Which character – as performed by William Dufris – was your favorite?
Well I did like Clarence but I also enjoyed the portrayal of "Sandy".
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and I almost did. It was only 2 sittings anyhow.
Any additional comments?
I though Twain was making some big statements against Monarchy and Slavery. I dare say this may have been the motivation for the story. Twain is a great story teller. I do make one comment though that in reading it today not only is the language of Arthur's day antiquated, as Twain points out but the language of Twain's day is similarly so. This kinda is part of the attraction to the tale.
