Revisado: 11-04-21
Bad story and worse performance. I finished because I thought it had to get better. It did not, believe me.

With each and every new novel, Dean Koontz raises the stakes—and the pulse rate—higher than any other author. Now, in what may be his most suspenseful and heartfelt novel ever, he brings us the story of an ordinary man whose extraordinary commitment to his wife will take him on a harrowing journey of adventure, sacrifice, and redemption to the mystery of love itself—and to a showdown with the darkness that would destroy it forever.

Loved this. Narration was excellent. As a movie would be difficult to mess story up.

Ah...no
Revisado: 03-10-21
After I finished the first book I was done with this series but decided I'd give it another chance. I couldn't decide if it was the story or the narrator. After finishing this one I've decided it's both. The writing is not to my liking and the narrator makes it worse. The story is not believable to me.

Poor narrator
Revisado: 10-13-15
I am an avid book listener. Of all I've listened to, this narrator is amongst the worse. She has no acting skills whatsoever and the voices she chooses to use are laughable. I finished it only because I paid for it.

Good Narration
Revisado: 11-01-12
I don't think the narration could have been any better. I was very impressed with the job Ann Heche did. I was caught up in the story and holding out hope that she would make it out. As always, Mr. King draws it out as long as possible, but by the end you have a very clear picture of his intent.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Made me want to exercise
Revisado: 12-31-11
Since I listen to my books when I walk, this made me get out out more. I love Stephen King's storytelling. Once I'm in, I'm in, and this one wasn't any different. Only problem is, I walk outside, with his stuff can't walk too late in the evening.

Stephen King at his best!!
Revisado: 07-03-11
I used to read every book he wrote when they came out. Life changed, other things got in the way and I wasn't reading as much. Reading/listening to this took me back to why I enjoyed him so much. And hearing him read it was an added bonus. Loved it!!
