Wish I knew this in my twenties

A bummer to learn this stuff now in my 50s. At least I can tell my teenagers. Enjoyed his speaking style and got a chuckle out of me here and there

Historia
Forty years ago Israeli psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky wrote a series of breathtakingly original studies undoing our assumptions about the decision-making process. Their papers showed the ways in which the human mind erred systematically when forced to make judgments about uncertain situations. Their work created the field of behavioral economics, revolutionized Big Data studies, advanced evidence-based medicine, led to a new approach to government regulation, and made Michael Lewis' work possible.

This was one of those experiences where certain words, phrases, and stories will stick in your head for the remainder of your life. Liked the reader’s voice and 1.2X worked well for me.

This complex ecosystem is crucial to our health, affecting many processes including immunity, child development, and bone density regulation. Research in this area has exploded, and in this audiobook, we highlight some of the most exciting work on how the microbiome develops, its influence on brain and behavior, and implications in both contributing to and treating various disorders.

Scientific works should be updated by authors every few years to provide latest info. Biotech advances are rapid, theories are proven and disproven

Historia
Between 1861 and 1865, the clash of the greatest armies the Western hemisphere had ever seen turned small towns, little-known streams, and obscure meadows in the American countryside into names we will always remember. In those great battles, those streams ran red with blood-and the United States was truly born.

Enjoyed this work immensely
Revisado: 05-28-22
Wish I had paid attention to history while I was in grade school, but these lecture series Audible offers make up for that. Dr. Gallagher presents the information clearly and with enthusiasm without grandstanding and without politics (otherwise I would have dropped it immediately). I learned so much about our Civil War and found myself wanting even more information than what was presented. I was very surprised about some facts I did not know or had the wrong impression about. This was not boring to listen to. It kept my brain busy while I do housework. Sharing what I learn with my kids but of course they know everything about it!
