Not an Audiobook
Revisado: 01-09-21
This is NOT and audiobook. It is a podcast. John does a minimally prepared intro, at times repeating himself, that is clearly not written out fully. He then calls up and talks to one of his friends on the phone, with sometimes mediocre connections. Then does an outro that repeats most of the intro. There are some great stories, but this is NOT an audiobook and should not be sold as one.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Great story, horrible narration
Revisado: 01-09-21
I have read the book several times and love the story. Knowing how good the story is it was still really difficult to fight through the narration. This story really needs several narrators, one can not do it justice. That being said this narrator was epically bad for this book. He does not seem to understand or have a full background on many of the characters, so his voice choices are often odd and off putting.
