Historia
The Chief’s kicker, Harrison Butker sparked a major controversy when he gave the commencement speech at Benedictine college, where he promoted traditional family values and a biblical worldview. The meltdown and vitriol towards Butker in the media and from celebrities such as Pearl Jam’s Singer, Eddie Vedder has been frankly surprising. Today we discuss what Butker said; how his detractors have lied about his speech; and finally we play the viral clips from Eddie Vedder so you can decide who is being more honest, righteous, and reasonable. ► Buy John’s new book, Wimpy, Weak, And Woke ...

Doesn’t shy away from the truth!
Revisado: 06-08-24
I love how John gives you the truth and backs it by scripture! Finding Christian conservatives who will talk about their beliefs is so refreshing! It’s a solid podcast and I will be listening regularly to it!

Historia
All her life, Valancy Stirling lived on a quiet little street in an ugly little house and never dared to contradict her domineering mother and her unforgiving aunt. At 29, she's never been in love, and her only consolation has been the forbidden books of John Foster and her daydreams of the Blue Castle. Then, one day, she gets a letter and decides that things need to change. For the first time in her life, she does exactly what she wants to and says exactly what she feels.

Ok, Not the Best.
Revisado: 12-13-23
Ok, not the best… the story was dragging for the first half and the main character needs to grow a backbone. She finally gets one and then you thinks she’s kinda dingy. The ending is good though! The reader is pretty awful.

But when the plane experiences engine trouble en route from the Pacific Northwest to Colorado, the pilots crash-land the aircraft deep in the heart of the sprawling Salmon-Challis National Forest. Pretty good…
Revisado: 11-01-23
This was pretty good overall, but the reader tries to do voices and isn’t great at it, and it got a little dragged out… maybe the author could’ve taken out 5-10 chapters and it would’ve been better because it wouldn’t drag for an hour? It’s a clean book, and I will probably end up buying the second book. The characters don’t seem to develop at the same rate, but it’s not too mushy and it is kid friendly (think 12+ in the car while you are listening).

Her parents are gone, the family bookstore is all but bankrupt, and her sister, Sophie, will probably never speak to her again. Below average
Revisado: 05-29-23
A very below average story, seems like it’s missing parts, all the characters are kind of jerks…

The reader is BAD
Revisado: 03-18-23
The reader is horrible, she can’t pronounce basic words and names. You don’t like the main character, she seems vain, dumb, and full of herself… I feel bad for the sucker she goes for. This is not up to par with other books by this author.

Historia
Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.
