Where does Physik rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well, it can't touch the Wee Freemen series, but for middle reader fantasy books it does well. The narrator is good overall, though I don't love his 'girl' voices all the time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Physik?

Unlocking the sealed room. You'd think even an ordinary wizard would suspect that wasn't a good idea.

I liked Jenna's response to being in the queens robe room. She's not a girly girl, and yet there is a side of her that likes beautiful things and is realizing her place in the kingdom.

Any additional comments?

These books were recommended to me by my granddaughter and I love sharing the story with her. I like Septimus and I'm liking Jenna more and more. I like the loyalty between the friends. I like the ghosts. It's a fun series, but I'm a little intimidated by how many there are. Hope the fun will last.

What made the experience of listening to Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus the most enjoyable?

Because of the age of the book the language is a little Victorian, it was easier to follow along while listening, or even listening while reading than just reading alone.

Who was the most memorable character of Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus and why?

Frankenstein himself.

Frankenstein is the name of the monster's creator, not the monster himself, and I was totally surprised that Frankenstein could work so hard to create the monster and then be so repulsed at the result when he succeeded to bring him to life. I'm still amazed he seemed to feel he could tell the monster to go away never anticipating problems or accepting responsibility. Crazy.

Any additional comments?

It's a much better book than any of the movies - although it was kind of funny that the movie Young Frankenstein sometimes wasn't all that far off. :)

What did you like best about More Than Enough? What did you like least?

I was looking for more concrete ideas for what to do with your money once your debit has been paid off. There was nothing wrong with this book, it's just very shallow.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

It was recommended to me by my daughter, and I enjoyed it. Not too deep, but it kept me listening.

Would you consider the audio edition of Audio Archive Presents Dashiell Hammett's 'The Thin Man' to be better than the print version?

I enjoy the casting of the thin man movies and love that they kept William Powell and Myrna Loy. It's their chemistry and banter than make this fun.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Audio Archive Presents Dashiell Hammett's 'The Thin Man'?

I love all the suspects invited to dinner in order to expose the murderer. In some ways the story is pretty innocent compared with mysteries now, and yet the basic formula stays the same.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The smartness of Powell and Loy.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. An old radio broadcast all in about one hour

Would you listen to After the Thin Man again? Why?

Oh, yes. I like the movies and I think it's William Powell and Myrna Loy that make them because the stories themselves are just ok.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I enjoyed that this radio broadcast had at least the main characters from the movies. It made it familiar and fun. The old advertisements were pretty fun too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. The whole broadcast was only about one hour

Any additional comments?

I downloaded this to listen to with my mother on a cruise. It didn't disappoint. If you enjoy the smart (or smarty) comedies of the 30s/40s then you'll probably like this too.
