I kept waiting for something to happen but most of the book went on and on about how he needed a distraction. And this book was barely a dustraction. it felt like the author got paid for a book of a certain length, and wrote blah blah until he d wrtten enough and then ended it.

I kept hoping it would get better

a pretentious book about 4 unlikable people and a kid who is either crazy, a psychopath, or just so controlled by her mother she doesn't know right from wrong. I kept hoping something redeeming would happen in the book but they all just kept being completely narcissistic and self-involved all the way through. I was relieved when it was over.

If you like the Sookie Stackhouse series you'll like this series. I love a strong female character with wit, throw in a little romance, and some fantasy characters and what's not to love.
Lorelei King has always been one of my favorite readers, so you can't go wrong.

Where does The Restorer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of the best series I have come across, and I listen to a lot of books in every genre.
What did you like best about this story?
The southern atmosphere, along with the ghosts, and romance make this series a fun but spooky listen.
What does Khristine Hvam bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
with the southern drawl and her characterizations,Khristine Hvam makes the book.

where are the rest of the series?? I'm dying for the follow up. Karen Vale is a great character with a bad temper and an inability to step away from the job.
