In this magical, treasure trove of an audiobook, Kat Courtney generously gifts her listeners with an authentic, heart-led account into the mystical, and often enigmatic, world of powerhouse plant medicines. Lovingly distilling decades of hard-won experience as an Ayahuasquera, Kat carries a lamp light to illuminate the darkness that frequently shrouds our perceptions and understanding of these sacred medicines and their ability to help us heal ourselves in ways that other avenues rarely can. In doing so, she provides her reader--whether new to plant medicine or an experienced traveler of the cosmos--with no-nonsense insights into the consciousness and wisdom of the plants, what it's like to be a medicine carrier, how to ensure your safety before sitting in ceremony, and so much more.

This book served as an unparalleled guide as I prepared for my first journey with Ayahuasca, and has helped me to wholeheartedly deepen my relationship with other psychotropic medicines as well. I have revisited it countless times in the aftermath of my first handful of Ayahuasca ceremonies in particular, and have found myself delighted to rediscover a new tidbit of wisdom, as if encountering it for the first time, to apply to my lived experience. Because of this, coupled with Kat's ability to speak as if she is your best gal pal having a fireside chat, it's my favorite book to dish out to friends, family, and health practitioners who have shown an interest in learning more about the incredible world of plant medicine.
