Unfortunately, this book was disappointing. Shallow and superficial, and it lacked character development. If you’ve watched “The Path” or “The Handmaid’s Tale”, you already know this story. If you haven’t watched them, do so. They’re better. This book just felt like the author just rushed through the story, missing many important points and leaving all kinds of unanswered questions.

Unfortunately, predictable

I really wanted to enjoy this book, but I have to say, I figured out the culprit from very early on. Unfortunately, the way the story is written, it feels like everyone but the author knows “whodunnit”. Also, some of the characters’ actions and behaviors were a bit off. The narration is awesome, though, so it made up for what story lacked. Still an enjoyable read/listen.

Lamest book and lake reading

Gag gag gag. If I could add a throw up emoji, I would. This is, by far, the lamest book I have read or listened to. It includes EVERY cliché in the world. I found myself “guessing” just about every aspect of the story line, which was (have I mentioned? LAME!!!). And the reading! I could not stand the character voices or reading style. Do yourself a favor and skip this one at all cost.

Beware! Just because someone is a doctor does NOT mean that everything they tell you is truth or based on science. This is clear proof that education is not enough.

As usual, tons of unsubstantiated claims

This book contains tons of unsubstantiated claims about the soul and the nature of existence. In this regard, it is NO DIFFERENT from all the religions of the world that claim to be "the truth." The author likes to say that this is not a religion, yet he continues to claim to "know the truth" about life, physical and spiritual, and provides ZERO proof for any of his claims. If you no by common sense, skip this book.

This is nothing more than yet another person trying to capitalize in the current New Age trend. Sprinkle a few New Age key words here and there, and boom! You've attracted the New Age demographics and made a few more sales.

Terrible storyline and nauseating narration

The storyline is mediocre, the characters' dialogue is lame, and the narration is annoying and nauseating (and even grating at times). Imagine reading a book about mystery and murder using the tone and voice of a toddlers book, like "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". I was very disappointed to learn that all of the books in the series are read by the same narrator. I just can't put myself through an entire series of this. One book was one too many already, and I couldn't even force myself to finish it. This is one of those times when you're better off skipping the books and going straight to the TV series. It's as if the creators of the TV series just decided to create a show based on nothing but the title of the book series. Seriously, people, skip this book series and opt instead for watching the show. The show is WAAAAY better.

This book is COMPLETELY discombobulated

This book's chapters appear to be in total disarray making the story feel very discombobulated. Hard to keep track of the storyline. Not sure if this was how the author intended it or if it was the narrator's mistake. Skip it.

not a very interesting story

I finished the book out of respect for the author, but this was definitely not a great book. The story line was not all that interesting and I found it hard to connect with any of the (very few) characters.

pretty much an autobiography

I'm half way into the book and all i can say is that this is nothing more than an autobiography. skip it.
