Historia
Thirty miles off the coast of San Francisco lie the Farallon Islands, known to sailors as the Devil’s Teeth. Despite their fearsome reputation, their remote nature appeals to young Lucy Riley, who in 1859 seeks a new start as a teacher to the lighthouse keepers’ children. But Lucy brings treacherous secrets with her, including a name that isn’t hers and a past she can’t escape. On the island, she meets Will Sisson, a mysterious man who seems to recognize her name—but not her face. Wary of Will at first, Lucy slowly starts to trust him.

Kind of weird.
Revisado: 06-16-23
The story really does have a rise and fall. It is a faulty flat story line with some mystery woven in so I guess that’s why I finished it. But even the mystery wasn’t anything that was really suspenseful.

Historia
Inheriting the Magnolia Inn, a Victorian home nestled in the East Texas pines, is a fantasy come true for Jolene Broussard. After living with the guilt of failing to rescue her self-destructive mother, Jolene knows her aunt and uncle’s B&B is the perfect jump start for a new life and a comforting place to call home. There’s just one hitch: stubborn and moody carpenter Tucker Malone. He’s got a half interest in the Magnolia Inn, and he’s planting his dusty cowboy boots squarely in the middle of her dream.

Same plot as all
Revisado: 06-11-23
This book is similar to other books by this author and honestly by so many other authors. Simple plot, expected outcome, no real climax. I finished it bc the narrator is decent and I hate not finishing a book. But I did skip a lot.

Historia
Perfect for fans of The Keeper of Lost Things and The Villa in Italy. Blue lives a charmed life. From her family's townhouse in Richmond, she lives a life of luxury and couldn't want for anything - well, on the surface at least. Then, on the night of her 21st birthday, her father makes a startling toast: he will give his daughter's hand to whichever man can capture her heart best in the form of a love letter. But Blue has other ideas, and, unwilling to play at her father's bewildering games, she sets out on her own path to find her own destiny....

Historia
After a long and trying journey from her home, Hannah arrives at a charming village nestled in the foothills of the Swabian Mountains, eager to find Helmut Kerner, a traveling seed merchant she loved and lost. Enchanted by the glorious wildflowers and thriving harvests stretching as far as the eye can see, Hannah feels less like an outsider with each passing hour, until she meets Seraphine, an ethereally beautiful dreamer engaged to be married to Helmut, the father of Hannah's unborn child.

Not wonderful
Revisado: 05-29-23
Didn’t love this book. Narrator was wonderful and is why I continued to listen. If I was reading this book, I would have stopped. The story is just very flat.

Not the author’s best. Story very predictable. Not much of a climax. Finished the book but was not a book I can’t stop listening to. However, the narrator was wonderful.

Beautiful, uplifting story with education regarding history: Hawaii and the Hawaiian culture. 2 things I love in a book.
