Some helpful pointers but lack focus

I’ve read many similar books. This one is a bit underwhelming. While it has some helpful pointers, it also lacks focus. At times, I feel the authors just had to add some content for the sake of it. Of course, reading a book is a personal experience.

No pdf, so there is no way to really know what they are saying unless you already know.
Some mistakes. For example, "Check, please" is translated as "Verifier, s'il vous plait." Really?
Use tu and vous randomly. Sometimes you is translated as tu sometimes as vous. For a beginner, this can be confusing.
Given these problems, I really cannot trust the French translation of something I don't already know.
But if you are intermediate and use it as a refresher, I think it is still helpful.
