Historia
In this collection of lectures that Richard Feynman originally gave in 1963, unpublished during his lifetime, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist discusses several of the ultimate questions of science. What is the nature of the tension between science and religious faith? Why does uncertainty play such a crucial role in the scientific imagination? Is this really a scientific age?

If there was a coherent purpose to these lectures I failed to see it. He doesnt like religion and the Russians and thinks he is smarter than most of his colleagues was the only message I walked away with.

Fun and easy to listen to.

A brief cliff notes history of the world. Was perfect for car listening since it was so easy to follow without much concentration while still being informative.

Good synopsis of the universe's creation.
Revisado: 01-14-21
I hesitate to say an easy to follow beginners guide to the quantum physics involved in the creation of the universe, but a good beginners guide none the less. I have only an interest in the subject, no formal education. It was at tines hard to follow in audio format. Some of the concepts are hard to comprehend while driving and not having your full attention on the subject matter. But this left me lost far less often than a couple other books on the topic I have listened to.

In this brilliant book, Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through an immersive, deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Beautifully written, original, and revealing, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents is an eye-opening story of people and history, and a reexamination of what lies under the surface of ordinary lives and of American life today.

Well written book.
Revisado: 12-24-20
A very interesting and well written book. I found it helpful to understanding some of the major issues in society today. I only disagreed with some of the political points of the book. Hillary lost because of politics, not caste. Tens of millions of people would have voted for Sarah Palin or a squirrel if it was on the Republican ticket over her. But I digress. Insightful and had some great points about how even when you can look at yourself in the mirror and know your not racist, there is still a power force at play that keeps us apart. Its human nature to want to think your special and above others and this book does a good job delving into that topic.

Historia
The chief scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) turns a critical eye toward such practices as telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis. Are such powers really possible? Science says yes. According to noted scientist and best-selling author of The Conscious Universe, Dean Radin, magic is a natural aspect of reality, and each of us can tap into this power with diligent practice.

Interesting read
Revisado: 11-17-20
Not enough of the book was dedicated to actual proof of the events unexplained by science that he terms magic. Too much set up of the persecution of magic throughout history and the current denial by scientists today. I understand how that is a crucial theme to the authors story he wants to tell but it made for some pretty long lulls before and during some pretty compelling research.
