But this book is much more than a personal memoir. Bill Johnstone's mining career spanned several decades and he worked in a wide variety of positions. His broad insights reveal important aspects of the history of coal mining in BC.

The Narrator was Canadian with a Canadian voice it was so out of the place of the story I believe it should have been told by a person with the accent of the mining communities from where the story came from. In addition, the Narrator did not give the story justice and give no real feeling to the story.
