Well written and solid evidence/documentation
Revisado: 10-12-20
The narrator isn’t great but there is well documented evidence. He doesn’t provide much of the abduction story until the very end when he shares the experience under hypnosis.

Don’t read if you’re interested in E.T.s
Revisado: 10-12-20
Mostly about his time in Vietnam. Nothing much about E.T.s.
Not sure why he couldn’t have put all five books into one. Gotta make that money I guess. Books 1 & 2 are worth the read. Books 3-5 are just milking the fan base for money. Nothing much new just redundant stories.

He pretends to have interactions with the “Greys” throughout the entire book to then in the end tell us that they were actually lost Chinese children. What a joke.

In the first three volumes of his memoirs concerning experiences while serving at Nellis Air Force Base, Charles Hall gave astonishing testimony of having met with “Tall White” extraterrestrials located at a secret underground facility at Nellis. Three independent witnesses have come forward to confirm important parts of Hall's testimony. Hall is a credible witness of extraterrestrials having reached agreements with US military officials.

Boring content
Revisado: 07-14-20
I enjoyed the mix of live interviews with the storytelling. I also enjoyed some of the information presented but much of it was fluff and felt as though the author stretched out the story as long as he could. I would not recommend wasting your time.

FRAUD! Dozens of failed predictions and prophecies
Revisado: 05-16-20
I failed to read any reviews before reading this book. She starts the book by giving an extensive and biased (catholic point of view) overview of the world religions and some of their position on the "end of days." After roughly 4 hours of her spending way too much time of some religions and way too little on others, she ends the last hour or so with dozens of predictions for things to happen between the writing of her book and the year 2100. Unfortunately, several were supposed to have occurred prior to 2020 which is the year in which I read the book and am writing this review. How ridiculous to claim to know the future and write a book about what you know will happen only for the truth to be revealed in subsequent years. I wish she had started the book with her false predictions and prophecies and ended with the summary of world religions as I would have saved 4+ hours of my time. I wish she were alive today to address her dozens of failed predictions. Sad to end your life defrauding your fans.
As Jesus taught in Matthew 7:15-16 - "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits." Sylvia Browne's fruits are false predictions and prophecies that she no doubt wrote to profit from a trusting fan base. Don't fall victim to her deception.

Historia
The lectures herewith presented have been prepared in accordance with the request and appointment of the First Presidency of the Church. The greater number of the addresses were delivered before the Theology Class of the Church University; and, after the close of the class sessions, the lectures were continued before other Church organizations engaged in the study of theology. To meet the desire expressed by the Church authorities - that the lectures be published for use in the various educational institutions of the Church - the matter has been revised, and is now presented in this form.

Worst Narrator Ever!!!
Revisado: 04-15-15
What would have made The Articles of Faith better?
If the narrator knew how to pronounce words from the book of Mormon and the Bible correctly.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Articles of Faith?
The consistent miss pronunciation of simple gospel words such as Enoch, Moroni, Helaman, doth, Alma, etc... Clearly he is completely unfamiliar with any scripture whatsoever.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He also seem to want to race through the book. Instead of reading the book like a story or lecture, you read that again without proper pausing for emphasis. Completely ruined it for me.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The book was great, but the narrator ruined it.

Historia
Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. Neurosurgeon Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander’s own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then Alexander’s eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander’s recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere.

More of an autobiography
Revisado: 12-10-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I would not. The author spends maybe 10% of the book describing his NDE and the rest of the book talking about science and his personal life. Also, while an individual with a masters degree, I had difficulty fully understanding all the scientific concepts related. The target audience seems to be physicians, scientists, and/or surgeons who do not believe in God and not the middle class populace of Mormons, Catholics, and Christians.
What do you think your next listen will be?
A NDE book with more substance and less personal fluff.
Could you see Proof of Heaven being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Not a chance. Way too little substance to entertain anyone.
Any additional comments?
This was a very disappointing read as the author fails to even moderately describe his after death experience and even further fails to elaborate on it. He offers very little substance and seems to attempt to fill the book with his personal life, the situation of his coma, and scientific/religious theory and interpretation. It felt like going to a movie and then leaving 20 minutes after it started. This left me with a feeling of wondering where the "proof" was?

If you could sum up Visions of Glory in three words, what would they be?
Deeper enlightened truths
Who was your favorite character and why?
The author because he tells the facts without adding useless filler information like so many other NDE people do.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene when the foreign troops attack and are repelled by the power of God.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Changed my life forever.
