Twilight revisited

Loved getting Edwards point of view and thoughts. Narrator did a wonderful job. His voice is so soothing, I listen to this every night so I can fall asleep. Great fantasy. I did not want book to end. Wish Mrs Meyers’s would do rest of the books from Edwards point of view. It’s so nice to listen to a book that isn’t full of cursing and detailed sex. Dislike listening to profanity and my imagination doesn’t need any help with sex, This I guess is for young people but I don’t care. It’s just right with everything to me.

I really tried to like this book. Narrator was ok I just didn’t like her voice or accent. If I could I would give narrator a minus 1. I am over half way through the book and I don’t care if I finish but I am going to make myself finish just to see if the ending is as great as they say, I am thinking why waste my time on this? Really sorry I got this book!

Not funny too gory-gross/dick of a detective

There was absolutely nothing I liked about this book. It was just awful. I decided to read it because I loved the 3:00 a m series. I guess the plot was ok but I was just so put off by language and body mutilations I am sure I missed the plot. I fast forwarded thru alot of it. Several times I almost just quit the book. I really didn’t care how it was going to end I just wanted it to end. Why I just didn’t quit the book? I kept thinking surely it will get better but it never did. Don’t waste your time with this trash. I am glad I didn’t read this book before 3:00 a m book because I wouldn’t of read anything else by this author. The narrator was good/book Grade F-

Couldn't get thru the gasping and smacking

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Readers voice ok but I quit at chapter 4 because the readers deep breaths after each sentance and her smacking swallowing drove me nuts.

Would you ever listen to anything by Nevada Barr again?

Maybe would depend on reader.

How could the performance have been better?

Take out the readers gasps and smacking swallowing. I don't know why other readers don't mention it maybe it doesn't bother them but it annoyed me I couldn't concentrate on the story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Annoyed ... the readers gasps breaths and smacking ruined it for me. The story moved slowly and the reader just annoyed me so much I finally quit after chapter 4.

Does audible listen to their books? The readers gasps breaths and smacking annoyed me I even turned down volume hoping the gasps didn't sound but they still did. I just couldn't get into the book it just moved too slow and the readers noises ruined it for me

I started out liking the book but the language became awful. It might not bother some people and that's fine. I just don't like to hear that kind of language. It bothered me enough that I just turned it off..

Take another breath

The story was good. The narrator's voice was fine but his gasping and deep breaths distracted from the story. Does audible ever listen to their books? Can't they edit out the gulps gasps and deep breaths. It didn't totally ruin it for me but it was certainly irritating.

Not so good

I listened but skipped a lot. Why do authors read their books. Readers voice not to bad and it is hard to describe but it was like and adult scrunching her voice to sound younger. And words with r she rolled them. It might be interesting for young adult just wasn't for me.

I listened to the book and had to make myself keep listening. Plot Ok. Narrator Ok. Just not my type of book. I kept wanting her to just get it over with. To me it was not worth the credit.

good Elvis BAD narrator

I just couldn't get into this book. I started it several times. Finally made my self listen. The plot was alright but I just did not like the narrator. He might be fine for other books but he was wrong for this book. His voice just irritated me to the point that I wasn't paying attention to the book. Sorry I purchased this book.
