Historia
Shame can take on many forms. It hides in the shadows of the most successful, confident and high-achieving woman who struggles with balancing her work and children, as well as in the heart of the broken, abused and downtrodden woman who has been told that she will never amount to anything. Shame hides in plain sight and can hold us back in ways we do not realize. But Christine Caine wants listeners to know something: We can all be free.

Not for me
Revisado: 11-23-24
It just wasn't for me. Not deep enough. I couldn't get past the 3 hr 30 minute mark. It was just very surface for me. It may help others, just not me.

Historia
What does God want? Sounds like a simple question, but if you give it a bit of thought, it’s really not. For starters, you have to know who’s asking the question. People will ask it for a lot of different reasons. Best-selling author Dr. Michael S. Heiser shows listeners that the answer is pretty simple. That might surprise you. There’s actually a long, remarkable story behind the answer - one that isn’t well known by most people interested in the question.

Terrible narration, great book.
Revisado: 11-20-24
The narration is awful and so distracting it's not possible to appreciate the book. That's the bottom line. Purchase the book and read it.

Trusting God. It's such a cliche. Yet nothing means more to our heavenly Father than when we surrender our lives completely to him and choose to believe he has our best in mind. David modeled that kind of deliberate dependence: as a shepherd boy, as a man running for his life, as a king who made grave mistakes. In both triumph and failure, David looked to God rather than to himself. In Embracing Trust, Joanna Weaver, bestselling author of the runaway hit Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, shares personal stories, practical tips, and life-changing principles gleaned from Scripture.

Encourages, Invites, and Deepens your walk with Christ
Revisado: 11-09-24
This is probably one of the most profoundly significant books I have read/listened too. Her biblical knowledge is outstanding and I love that she gives the verses to back up what she is saying. This book is judgement free and easily relatable. God reached me through this author in areas where I was struggling. I feel so blessed by this book. Tears streamed from my eyes as I identified with just about everything this author said. If you love the Lord, yet struggle with trust as we all do, please read this book or listen on audible. The audible narration is excellent. I used this book as a Bible study to deepen my personal relationship with our Father and it has helped so much. I will hold onto this book for life and pass it down to my own children because it is clearly God inspired to help us, not hinder us, in our faith, identity, and value to the Lord. In a "me" centered world, this brings the focus back to where it should be, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. This book is up there with Blackaby books and far exceeds other well known female Christian authors of this time. I can not see anyone regretting this purchase. There are so many gold nuggets of wisdom, every single person will get something. I highly recommend 100 star plus.
